Abstract
【解決手段】排気ポート2にメイン通路3が接続され、下流側に、メイン触媒コンバータ4が配置される。メイン通路3の途中に、該メイン通路3を開閉する流路切換弁5が設けられている。メイン通路3から通路断面積の小さなバイパス通路7が分岐し、その途中に小型のバイパス触媒コンバータ8が介装される。冷間始動直後は、バイパス通路7側に排気が案内され、排気浄化がなされる。暖機完了に伴い流路切換弁5が開くときに、排圧の減少によりトルク段差が生じるので、点火時期の遅角や吸入吸気量の減少補正を行う。流路切換弁5が開くと、メイン通路3に滞留していた空気に近いガスが触媒4に流入するので、燃料噴射量の増量を行い、排気空燃比のリーン化を抑制する。

Claims (8)
- メイン触媒コンバータを下流側に備えたメイン通路の上流側部分と並列にバイパス通路が設けられるとともに、このバイパス通路にバイパス触媒コンバータを備え、かつ上記メイン通路の上記上流側部分に該メイン通路を閉塞する流路切換弁を備えてなる内燃機関の排気装置において、上記流路切換弁が閉状態から開状態へ切り換わるときに点火時期を遅角側に補正する点火時期補正手段を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気装置。
- 上記流路切換弁が開状態にあるときのメイン通路の通路抵抗は、バイパス通路の通路抵抗よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- メイン触媒コンバータを下流側に備えたメイン通路の上流側部分と並列にバイパス通路が設けられるとともに、このバイパス通路にバイパス触媒コンバータを備え、かつ上記メイン通路の上記上流側部分に該メイン通路を閉塞する流路切換弁を備えた排気装置を有する内燃機関において、上記流路切換弁が閉状態から開状態へ切り換わるときに点火時期を遅角側に補正することを特徴とする内燃機関の制御方法。
- さらに、スロットル弁開度を減少補正することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内燃機関の制御方法。
- さらに、排気還流量を増加補正することを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載の内燃機関の制御方法。
- さらに、燃料供給量を増加補正することを特徴とする請求項3〜5のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の制御方法。
- 流路切換弁が開いたときのメイン触媒コンバータ入口での排気空燃比のリーン化を相殺するように、吸入空気量に基づく機関空燃比をリッチ側に補正することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃機関の制御方法。
- 流路切換弁の開度の増加に応じて各々の補正量が大となることを特徴とする請求項3〜7のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の制御方法。
