Abstract
【解決手段】複数の異なる組成物の液体試料の堆積物生成傾向を決定する方法を提供する。各試料は、一種以上の潤滑粘度の基油と一種以上の潤滑油添加剤とからなる一種以上の潤滑油組成物を含んでいる。その方法は有利にはコンビナトリアル・ケミストリを使用して最適化することができ、それにより潤滑油組成物の組合せのデータベースが生成する。市場の状況が変化したり、および/または製品要求条件または顧客仕様が変わっても、所望の製品を製造するのに適した条件を中断時間無しか又は僅かの中断時間で確定することができる。

Description
(a)複数の異なる潤滑油組成物試料であって、各試料が(i)主要量の少なくとも一種の潤滑粘度の基油と(ii)少量の少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤とからなる試料を用意する工程、(b)各試料の堆積物生成を測定して、各試料についての堆積物生成データとする工程、そして(c)工程(b)の結果を出力する工程。
(a)複数の試料受け器であって、各受け器には、(i)主要量の少なくとも一種の潤滑粘度の基油と(ii)少量の少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤とからなる異なる潤滑油組成物試料が含まれている、
(b)試料受け器を、試料それぞれの堆積物生成を測定するための試験ステーションに別々に位置させる受け器移動手段、
(c)試験ステーションにて各試料の堆積物生成を測定して試料に関連した堆積物生成データを得て、そして堆積物生成データをコンピュータ制御装置に転送する手段。

式中、R1は、炭素原子数6〜12、好ましくは炭素原子数8又は9のアルキル基(好ましくは、分枝アルキル基)であり、そしてR2は、水素原子、または炭素原子数6〜12、好ましくは炭素原子数8又は9のアルキル基(好ましくは、分枝アルキル基)である。最も好ましくは、R1とR2は同じである。そのような好ましい一化合物は、ノーガルベ(Naugalube)438Lとして市販されていて、主としてノニル基が分枝の4,4’−ジノニルジフェニルアミン、すなわち、ビス(4−ノニルフェニルアミン)であると分かっている物質である。

Claims (34)
- 潤滑油組成物試料をプログラム制御下で審査する高速大量処理方法であって、下記の工程からなる方法:
(a)複数の異なる潤滑油組成物試料であって、各試料が(i)主要量の少なくとも一種の潤滑粘度の基油と(ii)少量の少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤とからなる試料を用意する工程、
(b)各試料の堆積物生成を測定して、各試料についての堆積物生成データとする工程、そして
(c)工程(b)の結果を出力する工程。 - 基油が天然油または合成油である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤が、酸化防止剤、耐摩耗性添加剤、清浄剤、さび止め添加剤、曇り除去剤、抗乳化剤、金属不活性化剤、摩擦緩和剤、流動点降下剤、消泡剤、補助溶剤、パッケージ混合剤、腐食防止剤、無灰分散剤、染料、極圧剤およびそれらの混合物からなる群より選ばれる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤が、酸化防止剤、清浄剤、無灰分散剤およびそれらの混合物からなる群より選ばれる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 各試料の堆積物生成を測定する工程が、試料を基板の存在下で予め決めた温度に加熱し、そして予め決めた時間経過後に基板上に生成した堆積物の量を決定することからなる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 基板が透明な材料である請求項5に記載の方法。
- 透明な基板上に生成した堆積物の量を決定する工程が、試料の不透明度または光散乱を決定し、そして決定した不透明度または光散乱を基準試料の不透明度または光散乱と比較することからなる請求項6に記載の方法。
- 試料の不透明度を、試料を透過した光の強度を測定することにより決定する請求項7に記載の方法。
- 複数の試料を、線状に配列して、光源と光電セルの間にある、各試料の堆積物生成を別々に測定するための測定ステーションに順次移動させる請求項7に記載の方法。
- 基板上に形成された堆積物の量を測定する工程が、堆積物を含む基板の質量を測定し、そして決定した質量と基板の質量を比較することからなる請求項5に記載の方法。
- 各試料の堆積物生成を測定する工程が、基板を予め決めた第一温度に、また試料を予め決めた第二温度に加熱し、基板を試料と接触させ、そして予め決めた時間経過後に基板上に生成した堆積物の量を測定することからなる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 基板がアルミニウムである請求項11に記載の方法。
- 予め決めた第一温度が約100℃乃至約400℃であり、そして予め決めた第二温度が約80℃乃至約250℃である請求項11に記載の方法。
- 各試料の堆積物生成を測定する工程が、基板の一方の端部を予め決めた第一温度に、また基板の反対側端部を予め決めた第二温度に加熱し、基板を試料と接触させ、そして基板上に堆積物が生成した温度を決定することからなる請求項1に記載の方法。
- ロボット組立装置が、整列した試料から試料を選択的に取り出して、試料を堆積物生成を測定するための試験ステーションに別々に位置させる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該ロボット組立装置をコンピュータで制御する請求項15に記載の方法。
- 出力工程が、工程(c)の結果をデータ媒体に保存することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、工程(c)の結果を更なる算定の結果を得るための基礎として使用する工程を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤が、更に希釈油を含んで添加剤濃縮物を形成している請求項1に記載の方法。
- 潤滑油組成物試料の容量が約50mL以下である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 潤滑油組成物試料の容量が約20mL以下である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 潤滑油組成物試料の容量が約15mL以下である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 潤滑油組成物試料の容量が約10mL以下である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 潤滑剤性能をプログラム制御下で審査するためのシステムであって、下記の手段を含むシステム:
(a)複数の試料受け器であって、各受け器には、(i)主要量の少なくとも一種の潤滑粘度の基油と(ii)少量の少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤とからなる異なる潤滑油組成物試料が含まれている、
(b)試料受け器を、試料それぞれの堆積物生成を測定するための試験ステーションに別々に位置させる受け器移動手段、
(c)試験ステーションにて各試料の堆積物生成を測定して試料に関連した堆積物生成データを得て、そして堆積物生成データをコンピュータ制御装置に転送する手段。 - 受け器移動手段が可動キャリジから構成される請求項24に記載のシステム。
- 受け器移動手段が、選択した個々の受け器を把持して移動させる可動アームを有するロボット組立装置から構成される請求項24に記載のシステム。
- 受け器移動手段が試料受け器を撹拌する手段を含む請求項24に記載のシステム。
- 試験ステーションが、光源および光源と一直線上にある光電セルを含む請求項24に記載のシステム。
- 各試料受け器の外側表面にバーコードが付けられている請求項24に記載のシステム。
- さらに、バーコード読取装置を含む請求項29に記載のシステム。
- 潤滑粘度の基油が天然油または合成油である請求項24に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤が、酸化防止剤、耐摩耗性添加剤、清浄剤、さび止め添加剤、曇り除去剤、抗乳化剤、金属不活性化剤、摩擦緩和剤、流動点降下剤、消泡剤、補助溶剤、パッケージ混合剤、腐食防止剤、無灰分散剤、染料、極圧剤およびそれらの混合物からなる群より選ばれる請求項24に記載のシステム。

- (a)主要量の少なくとも一種の潤滑粘度の基油と(b)少量の少なくとも一種の潤滑油添加剤とからなる複数の異なる潤滑油組成物についての、潤滑油組成物堆積物生成データを含むコンビナトリアル潤滑油組成物ライブラリ。
