適切な触媒は白金およびルテニウム、その他である。水素化ホウ素ナトリウムを改質して生成された水素燃料は燃料電池中で、酸化剤例えばO2と反応させられ、電気(すなわち電子の流れ)および水の副産物を生成する。ホウ酸ナトリウム(NaBO2)の副産物も改質プロセスで生成される。水素化ホウ素ナトリウム燃料電池は特許文献3に検討されており、参照してここに組み入れる。

Claims (23)
- 入口と、出口と、ペルフルオロスルホン酸ポリマーから製造され上記入口および上記出口の間に配置された媒体とを有し、上記フィルタから出る燃料の金属イオンが上記フィルタに入る燃料の金属イオンより少なく、上記ペルフルオロスルホン酸ポリマーは当該燃料電池の膜電極組立体中のポリマー交換膜に実質的に類似することを特徴とする燃料電池用のフィルタ。
- 燃料サプライと結合可能である請求項1記載のフィルタ。
- 燃料サプライ中に配置される請求項1記載のフィルタ。
- 燃料電池と結合可能である請求項1記載のフィルタ。
- 燃料電池内に配置される請求項1記載のフィルタ。
- 燃料電池により電力供給を受ける電子装置の中に配置される請求項1記載のフィルタ。

上記燃料が上記イオンフィルタを通して流れる際に上記フィルタから出る燃料の第2の量のイオンが上記第1の量のイオンより少ないことを特徴とする燃料電池用の燃料サプライ。 - 上記イオンフィルタは粉々の断片のフィルタ材料を有する請求項15記載に燃料サプライ。
- 上記フィルタ材料は、当該燃料電池の膜電極組立体中のポリマー交換膜に実質的に類似するペルフルオロスルホン酸ポリマーを有する請求項15記載に燃料サプライ。
- 上記フィルタ材料は破砕された形態である請求項15記載に燃料サプライ。
- 上記フィルタ材料は使用前に湿潤状態である請求項15記載に燃料サプライ。
- 燃料電池に利用可能な燃料および上記燃料電池中で生成される液体副産物から金属イオンを引きつけるように適合化されたペルフルオロスルホン酸ポリマーのフィルタ媒体であって、上記フィルタ媒体は当該燃料電池の膜電極組立体中のポリマー交換膜に実質的に類似し、上記フィルタ媒体は上記燃料電池に関連する流体経路中に配置されることを特徴とするフルオロスルホン酸ポリマーのフィルタ媒体。
- 上記フィルタ媒体は燃料サプライ中に配置される請求項20記載のフルオロスルホン酸ポリマーのフィルタ媒体。
- 上記フィルタ媒体は混合室部内に配置される請求項20記載のフルオロスルホン酸ポリマーのフィルタ媒体。
- 上記フィルタ媒体は副産物室部内に配置される請求項20記載のフルオロスルホン酸ポリマーのフィルタ媒体。
