Abstract
【解決手段】電気光学装置は、液晶層50を挟持する素子基板10及び対向基板20と、素子基板10上の画像表示領域10aに設けられた複数の画素電極9aと、対向基板20上に設けられており、画像表示領域10aの周囲を規定する額縁遮光膜53と、額縁遮光膜53が形成された遮光領域53aの周囲に沿ったシール領域52aにおいて、素子基板10及び対向基板20を相互に貼り合わせるシール材52とを備える。更に、対向基板20における液晶層50に対向しない側に設けられた防塵用基板420と、防塵用基板420上に画像表示領域10aを囲むように設けられた額縁遮光膜425と、素子基板10上に額縁遮光膜53及び額縁遮光膜425の各々と少なくとも部分的に重なるように設けられた遮光膜710とを備える。

<第1実施形態>
第1実施形態に係る液晶装置について、図1から図7を参照して説明する。
<電子機器>
次に、上述した液晶装置をライトバルブとして用いたプロジェクタについて、図9を参照して説明する。ここに図9は、プロジェクタの構成例を示す平面図である。
Claims (7)
- 電気光学物質を挟持する一対の第1及び第2基板と、
前記第1基板上の画素領域に設けられた複数の画素電極と、
前記第2基板上に設けられており、前記画素領域の周囲を規定する第1遮光膜と、
前記第1遮光膜が形成された第1遮光領域の周囲に沿ったシール領域において、前記第1及び第2基板を相互に貼り合わせるシール材と、
前記第2基板における前記電気光学物質に対向しない側に設けられた防塵用基板と、
前記防塵用基板上に前記画素領域を囲むように設けられた第2遮光膜と、
前記第1基板上に前記第1及び第2遮光膜の各々と少なくとも部分的に重なるように設けられた第3遮光膜と
を備えたことを特徴とする電気光学装置。 - 前記第3遮光膜は、遮光性導電膜からなる少なくとも一の配線として形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気光学装置。
- 前記第3遮光膜は、所定の間隔で配列された複数の第1配線と、該複数の第1配線と層間絶縁膜を介して異なる層に配置されると共に、前記複数の第1配線に沿って且つ前記間隔に重なるように設けられた第1部分を夫々有する複数の第2配線として形成されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電気光学装置。
- 前記第3遮光膜は、2[um]以下の間隔で配列された複数の第3配線として形成されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電気光学装置。
- 前記第3遮光膜は、OD(Optical Density)値が2以上である導電膜を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の電気光学装置。
- 基板上に、
複数の画素電極と、
該複数の画素電極が設けられた画素領域の周辺に位置する周辺領域に配線されており、第1の遮光性導電膜からなると共に所定の間隔で配列された第1部分を有する複数の第1配線と、
前記複数の第1配線と層間絶縁膜を介して互いに異なる層に配置された第2の遮光性導電膜からなると共に、前記第1部分に沿って且つ前記間隔に重なるように設けられた第2部分を夫々有する複数の第2配線と
を備えたことを特徴とする電気光学装置。 - 請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電気光学装置を具備してなることを特徴とする電子機器。
