図1および図2を参照して、本発明による自動車1はたとえば充放電可能な電源を動力源とする電気自動車、あるいは、ガソリンエンジンやディーゼルエンジン等の内燃機関と、充放電可能な電源とを動力源とするハイブリッド車両等である。電池パック100Aはこれらの自動車に電源として搭載されている。
図3を参照して、電池パック100Aは、バイポーラ2次電池120と筐体101とを備える。バイポーラ2次電池120は積層された複数の電池構成体(電池セル)を含む電池集合体である。図3において矢印Dの方向は複数の電池構成体の積層方向を示す。なおバイポーラ2次電池120の構成の詳細は後述する。
図4および図3を参照して、筐体101はバイポーラ2次電池120を内部に収容する。筐体101は内壁部103,104を含む。内壁部103,104は本発明における「第1および第2の内壁部」にそれぞれ対応する。内壁部103,104は複数の電池構成体のうちの両端の電池構成体にそれぞれ対向する。内壁部103,104は複数の電池構成体の積層方向(矢印Dの方向)に対して略垂直である。
図5を参照して、バイポーラ2次電池120は、矢印Dの方向に積層された複数の電極シート25を含む。図5に示す矢印Dの方向は図3,図4に示す矢印Dの方向と同じである。なお電極シート25は本発明における「電池構成体」に対応する。
図6は、実施の形態2の電池パックの構成を示す斜視図である。
図7は、実施の形態3の電池パックの構成を示す斜視図である。
図8は、実施の形態4の電池パック100Dの構成を示す斜視図である。
図9および図8を参照して複数の放熱フィン102の外形の少なくとも一部(筐体101の最も外側にある部分)は、円弧である。一方、たとえば図3に示す筐体101および図6に示す筐体121が備える複数の放熱フィン102の各々の外形は四角形である。なお、図8に示す複数の放熱フィン102の間隔は互いに等しい。
図10は、実施の形態5の電池パックの構成を示す斜視図である。
図11は、実施の形態6の電池パックの構成を示す斜視図である。
Claims (10)
- 積層された複数の電池構成体を含む電池集合体を備え、
前記複数の電池構成体の各々は、
積層された正極および負極と、
前記正極と前記負極との間に配置された電解質とを有し、
前記複数の電池構成体の積層方向と、前記正極および負極の積層方向とは一致し、
前記電池集合体を収容する筐体をさらに備え、
前記筐体は、
前記複数の電池構成体のうちの両端の電池構成体にそれぞれ対向する第1および第2の内壁部と、
前記第1および第2の内壁部にそれぞれ対応する第1および第2の外壁部とを含み、
前記第1および第2の外壁部の少なくとも一方の外壁部において、中央部の表面積は端部の表面積よりも大きい、電池パック。 - 前記少なくとも一方の外壁部は、
平面上に並べて配置される複数の放熱フィンを有し、
前記複数の放熱フィンのうち前記中央部に配置される2つの放熱フィンの間隔は、前記端部に配置される2つの放熱フィンの間隔よりも短い、請求項1に記載の電池パック。 - 前記少なくとも一方の外壁部は、
平面上に並べて配置される複数の放熱フィンを有し、
前記複数の放熱フィンのうち前記中央部に配置される放熱フィンの前記平面から頂上までの高さは、前記複数の放熱フィンのうち前記端部に配置される放熱フィンの前記平面から頂上までの高さよりも高い、請求項1に記載の電池パック。 - 前記複数の放熱フィンのうち前記中央部に配置される2つの放熱フィンの間隔は、前記端部に配置される2つの放熱フィンの間隔よりも短い、請求項3に記載の電池パック。
- 各前記複数の放熱フィンの外形の少なくとも一部は、円弧である、請求項2から4のいずれか1項に記載の電池パック。
- 各前記複数の放熱フィンの外形は、四角形である、請求項2から4のいずれか1項に記載の電池パック。
- 前記筐体は、
前記電池集合体に対して上部に位置するアッパーケースと、
前記電池集合体に対して下部に位置するロワーケースとを含み、
前記アッパーケースおよび前記ロワーケースはボルトによって一体化される、請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の電池パック。 - 前記複数の電池構成体のうちの隣り合う2つの電池構成体の間には、導電性部材が設けられ、
前記導電性部材の第1の主表面側には、前記2つの電池構成体の一方が有する前記正極が配置され、
前記導電性部材の第2の主表面側には、前記2つの電池構成体の他方が有する前記負極が配置され、
前記正極は、前記第1の主表面に形成される正極活物質層であり、
前記負極は、前記第2の主表面に形成される負極活物質層である、請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の電池パック。 - 前記電池集合体は前記積層方向に加圧された状態で前記筐体に収納され、
前記第1の内壁部と前記電池集合体との間および前記第2の内壁部と前記電池集合体との間には絶縁体が設けられる、請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載の電池パック。 - 車室内部に配置された分割シートと、
請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の電池パックとを備え、
前記電池パックは、前記分割シートの下に配置される、車両。
