Abstract
【解決手段】本発明による液晶表示装置の駆動方法は、上板と下板の間に保持された液晶の配列に転移電圧以上の電圧を印加してスプレー状態からベンド状態に転移させるリセット期間と、その後に正常駆動する正常駆動期間を有する駆動方式で駆動される液晶表示装置において、前記リセット期間中にスプレー状態の液晶セルに前記正常駆動期間の駆動電圧より大きなリセット電圧を供給して前記液晶をベンド状態へ転移させる段階と、前記正常駆動期間中にベンド状態の液晶を駆動する段階を有する。

Description
複数のデータラインとゲートラインの交差部に薄膜トランジスタが形成されると共に画素電極及び共通電極が形成された液晶パネルと、
前記リセット期間に供給される、前記正常駆動期間の駆動電圧より大きく、前記画素電極と前記共通電極では相互に異なるリセット電圧を供給する少なくとも一つ以上のスイッチ素子と、
前記画素電極と共通電極に選択的に電圧が供給されるように前記スイッチ素子を制御するコントローラと、を具備することを特徴とすることを特徴とする。
以下、図6乃至図12を参照して本発明の実施の形態について説明する。

Claims (4)
- 上板と下板の間に保持された液晶の配列に転移電圧以上の電圧を印加してスプレー状態からベンド状態に転移させるリセット期間と、その後に正常駆動する正常駆動期間を有する駆動方式で駆動され、前記リセット期間中にスプレー状態の液晶セルの画素電極と共通電極との間にリセット電圧を供給して前記液晶セルをベンド状態に転移させる段階と、前記正常駆動期間中にベンド状態の液晶を駆動する段階を有する液晶表示装置の駆動方法において、
前記リセット期間の間、前記共通電極にゲートハイ電圧(Vgh)を供給する段階と、前記ゲートハイ電圧より低い低電位の共通電圧(Vcc)を前記画素電極に供給する段階とを含むことを特徴とする液晶表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記リセット期間の間、前記共通電極には大略20Vが供給され、前記画素電極には大略0〜3.3Vの電圧が供給されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 上板と下板の間に保持された液晶の配列に転移電圧以上の電圧を印加してスプレー状態からベンド状態に転移させるリセット期間と、その後に正常駆動する正常駆動期間を有する駆動方式で駆動される液晶表示装置において、
複数のデータラインとゲートラインとの交差部に薄膜トランジスタが形成されると共に、画素電極および共通電極が形成された液晶パネルと、前記リセット期間の間、前記共通電極にゲートハイ電圧(Vgh)を供給し、前記ゲートハイ電圧より低い低電位の共通電圧(Vcc)を供給する、少なくとも一つ以上のスイッチ素子と、前記画素電極と共通電極に選択的に電圧が供給されるように前記スイッチ素子を制御するコントローラとを備えることを特徴とする液晶表示装置の駆動装置。 - 前記リセット期間の間、前記共通電極には大略20Vが供給され、前記画素電極には大略0〜3.3Vの電圧が供給されることを特徴とする請求項3記載の液晶表示装置の駆動装置
