Abstract
【解決手段】複数のサブフレームは、第1種及び第2種のサブフレームに分類され、第1種のサブフレームのリセット期間(TS)では、最後の傾斜電圧パルス(402)と逆極性の傾斜電圧パルス(401)が最後の傾斜電圧パルスの前に第1及び第2の電極間に印加され、第2種のサブフレームのリセット期間では、最後の傾斜電圧パルスと逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスが第1及び第2の電極間に印加されず、第1種のサブフレームが1フレーム中に複数あり、複数の第1種のサブフレームのうち少なくとも1つの第1種のサブフレームの逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧が、他の第1種のサブフレームの逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧と異なる。

Claims (10)
- 1フレームが複数のサブフレームからなり、各サブフレームがリセット期間、アドレス期間及びサステイン放電期間を有するプラズマディスプレイ装置であって、
前記アドレス期間では、少なくとも第1及び第2の電極間に表示選択のための放電が生じ、
前記リセット期間の最後では、傾斜電圧パルスを前記第1及び第2の電極間に印加することによりリセットを行い、
前記リセット期間の最後の傾斜電圧パルスは、前記アドレス期間において放電が生じる時に前記第1及び第2の電極間に印加する電圧と同極性であり、
前記複数のサブフレームは、第1種及び第2種のサブフレームに分類され、
前記第1種のサブフレームのリセット期間では、前記最後の傾斜電圧パルスと逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスが前記最後の傾斜電圧パルスの前に前記第1及び第2の電極間に印加され、
前記第2種のサブフレームのリセット期間では、前記最後の傾斜電圧パルスと逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスが前記第1及び第2の電極間に印加されず、
前記第1種のサブフレームが1フレーム中に複数あり、前記複数の第1種のサブフレームのうち少なくとも1つの第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧が、他の第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧と異なることを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイ装置。 - 前記1フレーム中の前記複数の第1種のサブフレームの中で、先頭の第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの電圧の絶対値が、2番目以降の第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧の絶対値よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記1フレーム中の前記複数の第1種のサブフレームの中で、先頭の第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧の絶対値が、前記1フレーム中の前記第1及び第2の電極間の印加電圧の絶対値の中で最大値であることを特徴とする請求項2記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1種のサブフレームの数が、プラズマディスプレイパネル温度又はシャーシ温度が高いほど多くなるように制御されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 少なくとも1つの第1種のサブフレームにおける前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧の絶対値が、プラズマディスプレイパネル温度又はシャーシ温度が高いほど高くなるように制御されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 1フレームが複数のサブフレームからなり、各サブフレームがリセット期間、アドレス期間及びサステイン放電期間を有するプラズマディスプレイ装置の制御方法であって、
前記アドレス期間では、少なくとも第1及び第2の電極間に表示選択のための放電が生じ、
前記リセット期間の最後では、傾斜電圧パルスを前記第1及び第2の電極間に印加することによりリセットを行い、
前記リセット期間の最後の傾斜電圧パルスは、前記アドレス期間において放電が生じる時に前記第1及び第2の電極間に印加する電圧と同極性であり、
前記複数のサブフレームは、第1種及び第2種のサブフレームに分類され、
前記第1種のサブフレームのリセット期間では、前記最後の傾斜電圧パルスと逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスが前記最後の傾斜電圧パルスの前に前記第1及び第2の電極間に印加され、
前記第2種のサブフレームのリセット期間では、前記最後の傾斜電圧パルスと逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスが前記第1及び第2の電極間に印加されず、
前記第1種のサブフレームが1フレーム中に複数あり、前記複数の第1種のサブフレームのうち少なくとも1つの第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧が、他の第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧と異なることを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイ装置の制御方法。 - 前記1フレーム中の前記複数の第1種のサブフレームの中で、先頭の第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの電圧の絶対値が、2番目以降の第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧の絶対値よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項6記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
- 前記1フレーム中の前記複数の第1種のサブフレームの中で、先頭の第1種のサブフレームの前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧の絶対値が、前記1フレーム中の前記第1及び第2の電極間の印加電圧の絶対値の中で最大値であることを特徴とする請求項7記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
- 前記第1種のサブフレームの数が、プラズマディスプレイパネル温度又はシャーシ温度が高いほど多くなるように制御されることを特徴とする請求項6〜8のいずれか1項に記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
- 少なくとも1つの第1種のサブフレームにおける前記逆極性の傾斜電圧パルスの到達電圧の絶対値が、プラズマディスプレイパネル温度又はシャーシ温度が高いほど高くなるように制御されることを特徴とする請求項6〜8のいずれか1項に記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
