Abstract
【解決手段】無機微粒子を含有するパターンが形成された基板を350〜430℃の範囲まで加熱する第1加熱工程、該第1加熱工程終了後に該基板を恒温温度まで加熱する第2加熱工程、および該基板を450℃以上の一定温度に維持する恒温工程をこの順に連続して行うプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法であって、第1加熱工程における昇温速度が20〜60℃/分であり、かつ第2加熱工程における昇温速度が5〜14℃/分とすることを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法。

Description
このように剥離、亀裂などの欠陥を生じることなく良好な焼成膜を得ながら短時間での焼成を可能とする焼成方法が待ち望まれていた。
電極パターンの形成は、焼成 による収縮を考慮して行うとよい。焼成 後の電極のサイズとしては、ピッチ100〜250μm、高さ1〜10μm、幅15〜60μmの範囲が好ましい。
また、電極パターンを形成した後、140〜300℃の温度で5〜30分程度、熱によりキュアすることが好ましい。
焼成温度は520℃未満では焼成不足となり、隔壁の欠け等が生じる。焼成温度を520〜600℃以下、焼成時間を10〜30分の範囲に設定することで、焼成残渣や隔壁のダレなどを抑制することができる。
このようにして得られた隔壁に挟まれたセル内に、赤、緑、青に発光する蛍光体層を形成してプラズマディスプレイ用パネルの背面板が構成される。
下記実施例、比較例に沿って、電極パターンおよび誘電体塗布膜を形成した。
平均粒径3μmの銀粉末を含む感光性銀ペーストを用いて、300mm角のガラス基板(旭硝子社製PD−200)上にピッチ360μm、線幅150μmのストライプ状電極(銀含有量95%)パターンを形成した。
ガラスの組成:酸化ビスマス35%、酸化珪素7%、酸化ホウ素21%、酸化バリウム13%、酸化アルミニウム3%、酸化亜鉛21%ガラスの特性:平均粒径3.4μm、ガラス転移点(Tgd)466℃、軟化点(Tsd)480℃、 熱膨張係数77×10-7/K、屈折率1.75。誘電体ペーストは、エチルセルロース6%テルピネオール溶液10重量部に上記ガラス粉末23重量部とフィラー成分として石原産業(株)製ルチル型チタニア(R−550)4.5重量部を分散・混合した後、三本ローラで混練して作成した。これを上記の電極層を形成したガラス基板の上にスクリーン印刷法で乾燥後の厚みが25μmとなるように塗布し、乾燥して誘電体ペーストの塗布膜を形成した。
焼成条件を表1内の条件に変更した以外実施例1と同一手法によりプラズマディスプレイ用基板を得た。

Claims (7)
- 無機微粒子を含有するパターンが形成された基板を350〜430℃の範囲まで加熱する第1加熱工程、該第1加熱工程終了後に該基板を恒温温度まで加熱する第2加熱工程、および該基板を450℃以上の一定温度に維持する恒温工程をこの順に連続して行うプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法であって、第1加熱工程における昇温速度が20〜60℃/分であり、かつ第2加熱工程における昇温速度が5〜14℃/分とすることを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法。
- 第1加熱工程および第2加熱工程における昇温時間の合計が15〜30分であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法。
- 前記無機微粒子を含有するパターンが形成された基板が、ガラス基板上に電極パターン、誘電体塗布膜、隔壁パターンがこの順に形成された基板であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法。
- 誘電体塗布膜が無機微粒子を含有し、該無機微粒子が、ガラス転移点400〜500℃、軟化点430〜530℃のガラス粉末を含有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法。
- 誘電塗布膜中の無機微粒子が酸化ビスマスを含有することを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載のプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のプラズマディスプレイ部材の焼成方法を用いたことを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイ部材の製造方法。
- 誘電体塗布膜の焼成後膜厚みが4〜18μmであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のプラズマディスプレイ部材の製造方法。
