Claims (16)
- 電気コネクタであって、
2つの端部を備える誘電性本体部と、
該誘電性本体部上に配設された1対の導電性トレースとを有し、2つのトレースが、前記コネクタ本体に沿って該コネクタ本体の端部間に差動信号伝送チャネルを協働して画定し、前記コネクタ本体が、該コネクタ本体の端部間の範囲において前記導電性トレースが方向を少なくとも1回変化させるように配設された少なくとも1つの湾曲部を備える電気コネクタ。 - 前記コネクタ本体が、
金属被覆材料で形成された内側フレーム部材と、
電気絶縁性化合物で形成され、前記フレーム部材の一部だけを選択的に覆い、かつ、前記導電性トレースを露出させるように前記フレーム部材の一部を露出したままにする外側の部分とを含む、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 前記導電性トレースが、前記コネクタ本体端部間に水平方向と垂直方向とに延在する、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 前記コネクタ本体は、そこに形成されたスロットを含み、該スロットが、1対の対向する側壁を画定し、該側壁がそれぞれ導電性トレースを支持する、請求項2に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 前記スロットは前記内側フレーム部材内に形成される、請求項4に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記フレーム部材は、触媒添加樹脂でモールド成形され、外側の部分は無触媒樹脂である、請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記外側の部分は前記内側フレーム部材の上にモールド成形される、請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記コネクタ本体は、そこに形成された2つの湾曲部を備え、それにより、前記2つの導電性トレースが、前記コネクタ本体端部間で前記コネクタ本体に沿った範囲で2回方向を変化する、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記コネクタ本体の2つの端部は離間した異なる平面に存在する、請求項8に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記コネクタ本体は、離間した平面の間に延在し、かつ、前記コネクタ本体の2つの端部のうちの一方の下にキャビティを形成する1対の支持壁を含む、請求項9に記載のコネクタ。
- オーバーモールド電気コネクタ用フレームであって、
金属でめっき可能なプラスチック材料で成形され、一方向に延長され、上側面及び下側面を備えるフレーム部材と、
前記側面の1つに沿って形成された複数の隆起リブとを有し、各対のリブ間にチャネルが画定され、少なくとも1つのチャネルが残りのチャネルよりも深く、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルが、高周波電子信号特性を備えるチャネル要素を画定するために金属でめっき可能な対向する側壁を備え、前記複数のリブと前記チャネル要素とは長さ方向に配設されるオーバーモールド電気コネクタ用フレーム。 - 前記フレーム部材は、長さ方向を横切る少なくとも1つの角度付湾曲部を備え、電子信号とインターフェイスし、電子信号を水平方向と垂直方向の両方向に導く、請求項11に記載のオーバーモールド電気コネクタ用フレーム。
- 前記フレーム部材の上面に第1組の複数の隆起リブが形成され、前記フレーム部材の下面に第2組の複数の隆起リブが形成され、第1組の隆起リブの一部分が、前記フレーム部材の端部を巻込んで下側まで達し、第2組の隆起リブの一部分が、前記フレーム部材の反対側の端部を巻込んで上側まで達している、請求項12に記載のオーバーモールド電気コネクタ用フレーム。
- 前記第1及び第2組の隆起リブの第1組の端部が、フレーム部材の下側に配設されたコネクタ領域内に集まり、第1及び第2組の隆起リブの第2組の端部が、前記フレーム部材の上側に配設された別のコネクタ領域内に集まる、請求項13に記載のオーバーモールド電気コネクタ用フレーム。
- オーバーモールドコネクタ用フレームを製造する方法であって、
金属でめっき可能なプラスチック材料でフレーム部材をモールド成形し、該フレーム部材をモールド成形する間に該フレーム部材の1つの表面に沿って少なくとも1組の隆起リブを設け、少なくとも1つのチャネルが残りのチャネルよりも幅が広くなるように前記隆起リブ間に複数のチャネルを配設するステップと、
前記隆起リブ、前記チャネル及び前記フレーム部材に少なくとも1つの角度付湾曲部を設けるステップとを有する方法。 - オーバーモールドコネクタを製造する方法であって、
金属でめっき可能なプラスチック材料でフレーム部材をモールド成形するステップであって、該フレーム部材をモールド成形する間に該フレーム部材の1つの表面に沿って少なくとも1組の隆起リブを設け、少なくとも1つのチャネルが残りのチャネルよりも幅が広くなるように前記隆起リブ間に複数のチャネルを配設するステップと、
前記隆起リブ、前記チャネル及び前記フレーム部材に少なくとも1つの角度付湾曲部を設けるステップと、
上面に複数のリブを露出させたままにするように前記フレーム部材を電気絶縁性化合物で選択的にオーバーモールドして、前記少なくとも1つの深い方のチャネルを露出したままにし、残りのチャネルに電気絶縁性化合物を充填して、リブの露出した上面を互いに電気的に絶縁するステップと、
前記リブの露出した上面を金属でめっきして、電気的導体を設けるステップと、
前記少なくとも1つの深い方のチャネルの側壁を金属でめっきして、高周波信号特性を有する少なくとも1つのチャネル要素を設けるステップとを含む方法。
