Description
平均分子量100,00のポリイソブチレンと、平均分子量約1,000のポリブテンと、30wt%のブチルゴムを含む熱可塑性スチレン/ブタジエン/スチレンポリマーとを、等しい部数で糊調合槽中に押出し、220℃で0.5時間撹拌して、広げることが可能な感圧性接着剤を形成した。単層ポリビニルクロライド膜の下面に約50ミルの厚さで接着剤をコートし、機械的に固定する必要がなく、風による持ち上げに対して抵抗力のある、単層ルーフデッキ被膜を形成した。
単層膜中にガラスマットのスクリムを埋め込み、該ガラスマットのスクリムで単層膜を補強した以外は、上記の手順を繰り返した。得られた製品は、ルーフデッキに塗布した場合に、風による持ち上げに対して良好な抵抗力を示した。
コーティング工程において単層膜によって吸い上げられる感圧性接着剤の量を増やすために、単層膜が下面にフェルト繊維からなる接着剤吸着層を有する以外は、実施例1を再度繰り返し、75ミルの接着性アンダーコートを形成した。この製品も、ルーフデッキ上に取り付けた場合に、風による持ち上げに対して優れた抵抗力を示した。
Claims (13)
- 単層の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜において、該膜の下面に高分子感圧性接着剤が厚さ約45〜約75ミルの層としてコートされていることを特徴とする単層熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記感圧性接着剤が、(a)25wt%以上のブチルゴムを含有する熱可塑性のゴム系ポリマー及び該ゴム系ポリマーの混合物と;(b)数平均分子量が約40,000〜400,000のポリイソブチレンと;(c)数平均分子量が約700〜2,500のポリブテンとの高分子混合物を含み、任意に(d)増粘剤、希釈剤、酸化防止剤及びゴムの粘着付与剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記接着剤が、ブチルゴム系ポリマーと、ポリ(イソブチレン)と、ポリ(ブテン)とをほぼ等しい割合で含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記接着剤が、約32〜約34wt%のブチルゴム系ポリマーと、約32〜約34wt%のポリ(イソブチレン)と、約30〜約36wt%のポリ(ブテン)とを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。

- 前記感圧性接着剤の混合物が、約3wt%以下の増粘剤又は希釈剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記感圧性接着剤の混合物が、約5wt%以下の酸化防止剤又はゴムの粘着付与剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記ゴム系ポリマーが、スチレン/ブタジエンのポリマー、スチレン/ブタジエン/スチレンのポリマー、スチレン/イソプレン/スチレンのポリマー及びスチレン/エチレン/ブタジエン/スチレンのポリマーからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記単層膜と前記感圧性接着剤のコーティングとの間の、前記単層膜の下面に、接着剤吸着層がアニールされていることを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記膜の厚さが約25〜約60ミルであって、該膜の上にコートされた前記感圧性接着剤の厚さが約1〜約50ミルであることを特徴とする請求項1,2、5及び6のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記接着剤の自由面がクラフト紙又はシリコーン処理された剥離シートで覆われており、且つ一巻きの層材料として包装されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
- 前記感圧性接着剤の(a)、(b)及び(c)の部分又は(a)の部分のみが、アクリレートポリマー及びポリウレタン並びにそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される感圧性接着剤で置き換えられていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の熱可塑性屋根被覆膜。
