Description

触することなく誘導によりデバイスに電力を供給する面。このシステム
においては、その機器は、誘導により電力を受信し、電力を調整し、そ
の機器のバッテリーおよび電子機器に電力を供給するための実質的に平
板状のエレメントを組み入れている。
・例えば、携帯情報端末、パームトップコンピュータまたはラップトップコンピュータのような携帯型コンピュータデバイス
・例えば、音楽プレーヤー、ゲーム機または玩具のような携帯型電子娯楽機器
・例えば、歯ブラシ、シェーバーまたはヘアカーラーのような個人ケア用品
・例えば、ビデオレコーダーまたはカメラのような携帯型撮像装置
・例えば、例えば、コーヒーマグカップ、皿、料理鍋、マニキュアおよび化粧品容器のような加熱を必要とする内容物の容器
・例えば、トーチ、時計および扇風機のような消費者用デバイス
・上記のいずれかへ組み入れるためのバッテリーパック
・標準サイズの電池
電池のような非知的2次装置の場合においては、高機能な充電制御手段が、電池への誘導電力を測定する必要があり、デバイスの多数の電池が異なる荷電状態を有している状態を処理する必要がある。さらに、電力送信機が「充電された」状態を指示できることがより重要になる。他の電子デバイスに配置された場合に2次電池またはバッテリーが容易に目に見えないかもしれないからである。
i)エルゴノミクスをほとんど変更することなく、現存する携帯型デバイスに取り付けられるほど十分に小さい外形寸法を備える実質的に平板状の電力受信手段
ii)現存する携帯型デバイスの電力入力部に取り付けることができる電源コネクタ
iii)携帯型デバイスに上記事柄の一部または全てを取り付ける手段
を備える手段が提供される。
Claims (38)
- 携帯型電子デバイスとともに使用し、前記デバイスを無線による電力受信可能にする無線電力受信装置であって、
前記デバイスに取り付けられるように構成され、また、電力送信機と互いに近接する場合に前記電力送信機から無線により電力を受信するように構成された電力受信素子と、
前記装置が使用される際に前記電力受信素子と電気的に結合され、前記素子により受信された電力を前記デバイスに供給するために前記携帯型電子デバイスの1またはそれ以上の対応する電源コネクタに接続されるように構成された1またはそれ以上の電源コネクタとを備えることを特徴とする無線電力受信装置。 - 前記電力受信素子は、前記装置が使用される際に前記デバイスに付着して取り付けられるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記装置が使用される際に前記電力受信素子を機械的に前記デバイスに取り付けるように構成された機械的付着手段をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子は、前記携帯型電子デバイスの取替えカバー部の一部を形成することを特徴とする請求項1記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子と前記装置の前記電源コネクタの少なくとも1つとは固定的に結合され、それにより、前記少なくとも1つの電源コネクタと前記携帯型電子デバイスの前記対応する電源コネクタとの結合は、前記電力受信素子を前記デバイスに機械的に取り付ける役目を果たすことを特徴とする請求項1記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記1またはそれ以上の電源コネクタと前記電力受信素子とを柔軟に接続する可撓性を有する接続部材をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記可撓性を有する接続部材は、前記1またはそれ以上の電源コネクタを前記電力受信素子に電気的に接続する役目も果たすことを特徴とする請求項6記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子と前記1またはそれ以上の電源コネクタとの間に延びる1またはそれ以上の電気的連結部を備え、前記装置が使用される際に、前記1またはそれ以上の電気的連結部は前記電力受信素子および/または前記1またはそれ以上の電源コネクタから取り外し可能であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記携帯型電子デバイスは、外部機器の対応する第2の接続手段と接続するように構成される第1の接続手段を備え、前記第1の接続手段は、前記携帯型電子デバイスの前記1またはそれ以上の対応する電源コネクタを備え、
前記装置は、
前記携帯型電子デバイスの前記第1の接続手段と接続されるように構成され、前記装置の1またはそれ以上の電源コネクタを備える第3の接続手段と、
前記外部機器の前記第2の接続手段と接続されるように構成された第4の接続手段と、
少なくとも前記第3の接続手段と前記第4の接続手段の対応するコネクタのうち1つのコネクタとを相互接続させる貫通端子装置とをさらに備えることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。 - 前記第1〜第4の接続手段はまた、電力供給以外の他の目的でコネクタを備え、前記貫通端子装置は前記他の目的のために用いられる前記第3および前記第4の接続手段の対応するコネクタを相互接続させる役目を果たすことを特徴とする請求項9記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記携帯型電子デバイスへの供給に先立って前記電力受信素子から受信した電力を調整するように機能する電力調整回路をさらに備えることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子は、前記携帯型電子デバイスに比較して小型であることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子は、前記携帯型電子デバイスに比較して薄型であることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子によって占められる体積は、前記携帯型電子デバイスによって占められる体積に比較して小さいことを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子は、携帯型電子デバイスに取り付けられる際に、実質的に前記デバイスのエルゴノミクスを変更しないほど十分に小さい外形寸法を有することを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記デバイスに取り付けられる場合に前記デバイスのユーザが視ることができる前記電力受信素子の部分は、前記デバイスの隣り合う部分の外観に一致する外観を有することを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記送信機と近接するように配置されるべき前記電力受信素子の一部は、区別して、印が付されるか色づけられるかまたはラベルが貼られることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子は、前記デバイスに取り付けられる場合に前記携帯型電子デバイスのユーザが視ることができる面において、前記ユーザが視ることができる挿入物を持つ実質的に透明なポケットを備えることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記装置の動作状態の所定の指示を行う指示器をさらに備えることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信素子は、実質的に平板状であることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記電力受信装置は、可撓性を有することを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の無線電力受信装置。
- 前記請求項のいずれかに記載の携帯型電子デバイスと無線電力受信装置との組み合せ。
- 前記電力受信素子は、前記デバイスの外面部に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項22記載の組合せ。
- 前記電力受信素子は、前記デバイスの内面部に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項22記載の組合せ。
- 前記内面部は、前記デバイスのバッテリー区画の表面部であることを特徴とする請求項24記載の組合せ。
- 前記携帯型電子デバイスの前記1またはそれ以上の対応する電源コネクタは、内部の電源コネクタであることを特徴とする請求項22〜25のいずれかに記載の組合せ。
- 前記携帯型電子デバイスの前記1またはそれ以上の対応する電源コネクタは、バッテリーコネクタであることを特徴とする請求項22〜26のいずれかに記載の組合せ。
- 携帯型電子デバイスの表面部に付着して取り付けられるように構成されたステッカー形状の電力受信素子であって、電力送信機と互いに近接する場合に前記送信機から無線により電力を受信するように構成され、前記デバイスの電源コネクタと電気的接続がなされる接続手段を備えることを特徴とする電力受信素子。
- 前記ステッカーは、前記素子が前記デバイスに取り付けられる時点において取り外される、接着面において取り外し可能な裏紙を備えることを特徴とする請求項28記載の電力受信素子。
- 前記ステッカーの付着面と反対側の面は、前記ステッカーが前記デバイスに取り付けられる場合に、前記反対側の面に隣接する前記携帯型電子デバイスの表面部に外見上一致することを特徴とする請求項28または29記載の電力受信素子。
- 前記ステッカーは、付着面とは反対側の面において、挿入物を持つ実質的に透明なポケットを備えることを特徴とする請求項28〜30のいずれかに記載の電力受信素子。
- 携帯型電子デバイスの取替えカバー部であって、電力送信機と互いに近接する場合に前記送信機から無線により電力を受信するように構成された電力受信素子を有しまたは組み入れており、前記デバイスの電源コネクタと電気的接続がなされる接続手段を備えることを特徴とする取替えカバー部。
- 動作可能なように前記電力受信素子に接続され、前記取替えカバー部が前記デバイスに配置される場合に前記携帯型電子デバイスの1またはそれ以上の対応する電源コネクタに接続されるように構成される1またはそれ以上の電力コネクタを有する電力コネクタ部を備えることを特徴とする請求項32記載の取替えカバー部。
- 前記携帯型電子デバイスのバッテリー区画を覆うように構成され、前記デバイスの1またはそれ以上の対応するバッテリーコネクタおよび/または前記デバイスに設置された1またはそれ以上のバッテリーの端子に接続されるように構成された1またはそれ以上のバッテリーコネクタを備えることを特徴とする請求項32または33記載の取替えカバー部。
- 前記カバー部の前記1またはそれ以上のバッテリーコネクタは、前記バッテリー端子と前記デバイスの前記対応するバッテリーコネクタとの間に挟まれるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項34記載の取替えカバー部。
- 前記携帯型電子デバイスのバッテリー区画を覆うように構成され、前記取替えカバー部が前記デバイスに配置される場合に前記バッテリー区画に動作可能に組み込まれるような再充電可能なバッテリーを少なくとも1つさらに有しまたは組み入れており、前記電力受信素子は、電力が前記送信機から無線により受信される場合に前記バッテリーの充電のために前記バッテリーに動作可能に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項32または33記載の取替えカバー部。
- 移動体通信ネットワークの端末用の取替えカバー部であることを特徴とする請求項32〜36記載の取替えカバー部。
- 無線による電力受信機能を備えない携帯型電子デバイスの構成方法であって、
電力送信機と互いに近接する場合に前記送信機から無線により電力を受信するように構成される電力受信素子を前記デバイスに取り付け、
前記素子に電気的に接続される1またはそれ以上の電源コネクタを、前記素子によって受信される電力が前記デバイスに供給されるように、前記デバイスの1またはそれ以上の対応する電源コネクタに接続することを特徴とする構成方法。
