Abstract
Description
a)場合により前処理された強化用繊維の装入、
b)層が強化用繊維に対してポリフェニレンスルフィドを0.001〜<0.01質量%含有するような、工程a)からの強化用繊維上へのポリフェニレンスルフィド含有層の施与、このことにより被覆された強化用繊維が生じる、および
c)強化用樹脂を用いた工程b)からの被覆された強化用繊維の複合材料への加工
を有する複合材料の製造方法により解決される。
− 本発明により被覆した強化用繊維と、複合材用樹脂からなる粉末またはシートとの混合および引き続き加熱圧縮、
− 複合材用樹脂の溶融液または溶液による本発明により被覆した強化用繊維の含浸、および
− 短繊維にカットした本発明による被覆した強化用繊維の配合
が含まれる。
ポリエーテルイミド(GE−Plastics社のUltem(R))98質量部およびPPS(Ticona社のFortron(R))2質量部を押出成形機に導入し、該押出成形機中で溶融し、かつ顆粒を製造する。該顆粒39gをポリエーテルイミドが溶解するまで熱い1−メチル−2−ピロリドン(NMP)590g中に撹拌導入する。PPSは溶解せず、かつスラリーを形成する。撹拌され、かつ70℃に冷却されたポリエーテルイミドの溶液もしくはPPSのスラリーに、NMP200g、水60gおよび乳化剤デカエチレングリコロレイルエーテル20gからなる混合物を滴加する。その際に得られる混合物を50℃の暖かい水600ml中に撹拌導入して、ポンプ循環により常に運動させておくことができるエマルションが生じる。こうして得られた溶液を、ポリエーテルイミド0.6質量%、PPS0.006質量%、デカエチレングリコロレイルエーテル0.3質量%、NMP12.2質量%および水86.894質量%からなる溶液が得られるまで水で希釈する。
例1を繰り返したが、ただしその際、エマルションはポリエーテルイミド0.597質量%、PPS0.009質量%、デカエチレングリコロレイルエーテル0.3質量%、NMP12.2質量%および水86.894質量%からなる。炭素繊維に対するPPS割合は0.009質量%である(表の例2を参照のこと)。
例1を繰り返したが、ただしその際、エマルションはPPSを含有しておらず、かつポリエーテルイミド0.606質量%、デカエチレングリコロレイルエーテル0.3質量%、NMP12.2質量%および水86.894質量%からなる(表の比較例Vを参照のこと)。
Claims (16)
- 強化用樹脂および強化用繊維を含有し、その際、強化用繊維がポリフェニレンスルフィド含有の被覆を有している複合材料において、被覆されていない強化用繊維に対するポリフェニレンスルフィドの割合が0.001〜<0.01質量%であることを特徴とする複合材料。
- 被覆されていない強化用繊維に対するポリフェニレンスルフィドの割合が0.002〜0.009質量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の複合材料。
- 被覆がポリフェニレンスルフィドと、熱可塑性樹脂または熱硬化性樹脂とからなることを特徴とする、請求項1または2記載の複合材料。
- 強化用樹脂が熱可塑性樹脂であるか、または熱可塑性樹脂の混合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の複合材料。
- 強化用繊維が、ピッチ前駆物質、ポリアクリロニトリル前駆物質もしくはビスコース前駆物質からの炭素繊維、アラミド繊維、ガラス繊維、セラミック繊維、ホウ素繊維、合成繊維または天然繊維であるか、またはこれらの繊維の組合せである、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の複合材料。
- 工程:
a)場合により前処理された強化用繊維の装入、
b)層が強化用繊維に対してポリフェニレンスルフィドを0.001〜<0.01質量%含有するような、工程a)からの強化用繊維上へのポリフェニレンスルフィド含有層の施与、このことにより被覆された強化用繊維が生じる、および
c)強化用樹脂を用いた工程b)からの被覆された強化用繊維の、複合材料への加工
を有する、複合材料の製造方法。 - 工程a)からの強化用繊維が、ピッチ前駆物質、ポリアクリロニトリル前駆物質もしくはビスコース前駆物質からの炭素繊維、アラミド繊維、ガラス繊維、セラミック繊維、ホウ素繊維、合成繊維または天然繊維であるか、またはこれらの繊維の組合せであることを特徴とする、請求項6記載の方法。
- 工程a)からの炭素強化用繊維を電気化学的酸化により前処理することを特徴とする、請求項6または7記載の方法。
- 工程a)からの強化用繊維を工程b)において、ポリフェニレンスルフィドのスラリーを含有する浴に通過させ、乾燥させ、かつ巻き取ることを特徴とする、請求項6から8までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 浴がさらに熱可塑性樹脂の溶液を含有していることを特徴とする、請求項9記載の方法。
- 工程c)で被覆した、フィラメント糸、短繊維、織布、編組、編物、メリヤス、不織布、一方向もしくは多方向レイドファブリックの形の強化用繊維を複合材料へと加工することを特徴とする、請求項6から10までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 飛行機構造、自動車構造、機械および装置構造のための部材を製造するため、および医療用部材を製造するための、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の複合材料または請求項6から11までのいずれか1項の記載により製造された複合材料の使用。
- 被覆されていない強化用繊維に対するポリフェニレンスルフィドの割合が0.001〜<0.01質量%であることを特徴とする、ポリフェニレンスルフィド含有の被覆を有する強化用繊維。
- 被覆されていない強化用繊維に対するポリフェニレンスルフィドの割合が0.002〜0.009質量%であることを特徴とする、請求項13記載の強化用繊維。
- 被覆がポリフェニレンスルフィドと、熱可塑性樹脂または熱硬化性樹脂とからなることを特徴とする、請求項13または14記載の強化用繊維。
- 強化用繊維が、ピッチ前駆物質、ポリアクリロニトリル前駆物質もしくはビスコース前駆物質からの炭素繊維、アラミド繊維、ガラス繊維、セラミック繊維、ホウ素繊維、合成繊維または天然繊維であるか、またはこれらの繊維の組合せであることを特徴とする、請求項13から15までのいずれか1項記載の強化用繊維。
