Abstract
【解決手段】レンズの下部屈折面から発光素子の上部に出射された光を屈折させ反射面に至らせ、その光を反射面からレンズ側面に反射させることにより、レンズの上部に出射される光量を最大限減らすことができてホットスポットの発生を最大限抑えられる。また、本発明はホットスポット防止板の使用を除去して部品数を削減でき、複雑な組立工程及びパネルの厚さを減少させられる。

Description
(BacklightUnit)として使用した概略的な断面図であって、前述した発光ダイオードパッケージの中心に光が出射される問題点を解決するために、液晶ディスプレイのバックライトユニットにはホットスポット防止板80を使用した。
Claims (20)
- 上部に形成されており、下部から上部に出射された光を反射させる反射面と、
前記下部から上部へ出射された光を屈折させ、前記反射面に至らせる下部屈折面を含んでなる光学レンズ。 - 前記反射面は傾斜面よりなっており、
前記下部屈折面は前記反射面と対称形状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光学レンズ。 - 前記反射面から反射された光及び前記下部の側面に出射される光を屈折させ側面に出射させるように、側面に形成された外部屈折面がさらに備えられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光学レンズ。
- 前記反射面、下部屈折面と外部屈折面を含んでいるレンズ胴体は半球状であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の光学レンズ。
- 前記反射面に、
反射膜がコーティングされていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の光学レンズ。 - 光を放出する発光素子と、
上部に形成されており、前記発光素子から上部に放出された光を反射させる反射面と前記発光素子から上部に放出された光を屈折させ前記反射面に至らせる下部屈折面を有する光学レンズを含んで構成される発光素子パッケージ。 - 前記発光素子がボンディングされているベース部材と、
前記発光素子と電気的に連結されている端子と、
前記端子の一部を露出させ、前記発光素子とベース部材を包むモールディング部がさらに形成されており、
前記光学レンズは前記モールディング部の上部に接着されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の発光素子パッケージ。 - 前記ベース部材は、
ヒートスラッグまたはサブマウント基板であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の発光素子パッケージ。 - 前記発光素子は、
青色光を放出する青色発光素子と黄色光を放出する黄色発光素子よりなる素子と、
赤色光を放出する赤色発光素子、緑色光を放出する緑色発光素子と青色光を放出する青色発光素子よりなる素子と、
白色光を放出する単一発光素子のいずれか一つであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の発光素子パッケージ。 - 前記反射面から反射された光及び前記発光素子の側面に放出される光を屈折させ前記光学レンズの側面に出射させるように、前記光学レンズの側面に形成された外部屈折面がさらに備えられたことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の発光素子パッケージ。
- 前記反射面、下部屈折面と外部屈折面を含んでいる光学レンズの胴体は半球状であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の発光素子パッケージ。
- 前記反射面は傾斜した面よりなっており、
前記下部屈折面は前記反射面と対称の傾斜面で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の発光素子パッケージ。 - 前記下部屈折面に、
前記発光素子から放出された光を反射面から反射されうる経路を有するように屈折させ、前記下部屈折面と垂直線上に対称の傾斜面で形成された縁部屈折面がさらに形成されていることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の発光素子 パッケージ。 - 前記下部屈折面は凹んだ曲面で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の発光素子パッケージ。
- 前記反射面に、
反射膜がコーティングされていることを特徴とする請求項6ないし14のいずれか1項に記載の発光素子パッケージ。 - 前記反射膜の上部に非透過用物質膜がさらにコーティングされていることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の発光素子パッケージ。
- 基板と、
前記基板に実装され、光を放出する複数個の発光素子と、
上部に形成されており、前記発光素子それぞれの上部に放出された光を反射させる反射面と前記発光素子それぞれの上部に放出された光を屈折させ前記反射面に至らせる下部屈折面を有する光学レンズと、
前記光学レンズの上部に位置する拡散板を含むことを特徴とするバックライトユニット。 - 前記拡散板の上部に、
液晶ディスプレイパネルが置かれることを特徴とする請求項17に記載のバックライトユニット。 - 前記反射面から反射された光及び前記発光素子の側面に放出される光を屈折させ前記光学レンズの側面に出射させるように、前記光学レンズの側面に形成された外部屈折面がさらに具備されることを特徴とする請求項17に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記反射面、下部屈折面と下部屈折面を含んでいる光学レンズの胴体は半球状であることを特徴とする請求項19に記載のバックライトユニット。
