Abstract
【解決手段】筒内噴射用インジェクタ50を備えたエンジン5において、エンジン始動時には、エンジンECU300によるVVT制御により吸気弁80のバルブタイミングが遅角されて、燃焼室30内の減圧が図られる。その後吸気弁80のバルブタイミングが初期設定値から段階的に進角される構成において、この進角量が所定基準値以下の間は筒内噴射用インジェクタ50からの燃料噴射を禁止し、所定基準値を超えた後に筒内噴射用インジェクタ50からの燃料噴射を許可することにより、始動時減圧制御に伴う排気性状の悪化を抑制できる。

Description
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1に係る内燃機関の制御装置であるエンジンECU(Electronic Control Unit)によって制御されるエンジンシステムについて説明する。図1に
は、エンジンの1つの気筒(シリンダ)を代表的に示した図を示すが、本発明の実施の形態が適用される内燃機関(エンジン)が備える気筒の数およびその配置は限定されるものではない。
図3を参照して、吸気弁閉タイミングφicは、エンジン始動時に対応する時刻t0において、初期状態400に対応して初期角φ0に初期設定される。油圧確保(油圧式VVTの場合)または通電確保(電動式VVTの場合)によりVVT機構が動作可能となる時刻t1以降において、燃焼室30内の減圧状態を徐々に解除するために、吸気弁のバルブタイミングは段階的に進角化され、吸気弁閉タイミングφicの進角量Δφfが徐々に増加する。
図6は、本発明の実施の形態2に係る内燃機関の制御装置によって制御されるエンジンシステムの概略構成図である。
実施の形態3においては、実施の形態1または2で説明した内燃機関が、エンジンの他の駆動力源(代表的には電動機)をさらに備えたハイブリッド車両に搭載される場合の始動時燃料噴射制御について説明する。いわゆるエコノミランニングシステムを備えたエコラン車両やハイブリッド車両等のエンジン間欠運転を行なう車両では、エンジン始動の頻度が高いため、運転快適性確保の観点からVVTによる始動時減圧制御の必要性が高い。
図8を参照して、ハイブリッド車両に搭載されるハイブリッド駆動システム500は、エンジン540の他に、バッテリ510、電力変換部(PCU:Power Control Unit)520、電動機530、動力分割機構550、発電機(ジェネレータ)560、減速機570、駆動輪580a,580bおよび、ハイブリッド駆動システム500の全体動作を制御するハイブリッドECU590を備える。

一般に、内燃機関での排気性状悪化は、三元触媒コンバータ90(触媒装置)によるエミッション除去能力が低くなる、触媒が活性化されるまでの期間、すなわち機関冷間時におけるエンジン始動時に特に問題となる。
なお、機関冷間時には、エンジン始動後、所定条件の成立に応答して触媒暖機運転が開始される。たとえば、機関冷間時(代表的には、機関冷却水温により判定)のエンジン始動時には、エンジン点火後の所定期間(たとえば、所定サイクル)経過後に、暖機運転の実行が指示される。
Claims (5)
- 燃焼室内へ燃料噴射するように構成された第1の燃料噴射手段を備え、かつ、少なくとも吸気弁による前記燃焼室内への吸気導入量を制御する吸気弁制御が可能な内燃機関の制御装置であって、
前記内燃機関を始動するように構成された始動手段と、
前記内燃機関の始動時に前記燃焼室内が減圧されるような前記吸気導入量を、前記吸気弁制御による初期値として設定する始動時減圧手段と、
前記内燃機関の始動後に、前記燃焼室内の圧力が始動時よりも上昇する方向に、前記吸気導入量を前記初期値から徐々に変化させる減圧解除手段と、
前記燃焼室内の圧縮状態が所定の基準状態に達したか否かを判定する判定手段と、
前記内燃機関の始動時に、前記判定手段によって前記燃焼室内の圧縮状態が前記基準状態に達したと判定されるまでの期間には前記第1の燃料噴射手段からの燃料噴射を禁止するとともに、前記期間後に前記第1の燃料噴射手段からの燃料噴射を許可する始動時燃料噴射制御手段とを備える、内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記内燃機関は、吸気通路に燃料噴射するように構成された第2の燃料噴射手段をさらに備え、
前記始動時燃料噴射制御手段は、前記判定手段によって前記燃焼室内の圧縮状態が前記基準状態に達したと判定されるまでの期間には、前記第1の燃料噴射手段からの燃料噴射を禁止する一方で、前記第2の燃料噴射手段による燃料噴射を指示する、請求項1記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記内燃機関は、該内燃機関以外の駆動力源とともに車両に搭載され、
前記判定手段によって前記燃焼室内の圧縮状態が前記基準状態に達したと判定されるまでの期間には、前記他の駆動力源による前記車両の駆動力発生を指示する始動時駆動力分担制御手段をさらに備える、請求項1記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記始動時燃料噴射制御手段は、前記内燃機関からの排気が通過される触媒が活性化されるまでの間において、前記第1の燃料噴射手段からの燃料噴射禁止期間を設ける、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記始動時燃料噴射制御手段は、前記内燃機関からの排気が通過される触媒の暖機運転中には、前記判定手段による判定にかかわらず、前記第1の燃料噴射手段からの燃料噴射を許可する、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
