Abstract
【解決手段】 圧電素子200は、厚み方向に直交する横断面が1辺が長さaの正方形である。この圧電素子200は、非電極膜形成部、即ち、電極膜境界部203により4分割された分割電極膜201−1,201−2,202−1,202−2を表面に有する。この分割電極膜201−1,201−2,202−1,202−2は、正方形の頂点V1,V2,V3,V4を含む領域に設けられている。分割電極膜201−1,202−1には、プラス電圧が印加され、分割電極膜201−2,202−2には、マイナス電圧が印加されている。電極膜境界部203は正方形の各辺の中点M1,M2,M3,M4からの垂線上に設けられている。

ここで、dは圧電常数を、Eは印加電圧を、dsは領域R1の面積を、hは領域R1のY軸からの距離を示す。

Claims (6)
- 横断面が多角形であり、前記多角形の表面に電極膜境界部によって分割された電極膜が形成された圧電素子において、前記電極膜境界部は前記多角形の頂点を含まない領域に設けられていることを特徴とする圧電素子。
- 前記分割された電極膜は前記多角形の頂点を含む領域に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の圧電素子。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の圧電素子を複数積層して多層構造とすることを特徴とする圧電素子。
- 前記多角形の中心からの距離が前記多角形の頂点からの距離よりも短い領域に、前記多層構造における異なる層の電極膜を導通させるための導電部が形成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の圧電素子。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の圧電素子を挟持固定する挟持固定手段と、前記挟持固定手段に複数の曲げ振動を励起すべく、前記積層圧電素子に交流電圧を印加する印加手段とを備えることを特徴とする振動波駆動装置。
- 前記複数の曲げ振動は、振動方向が互いに直交する2つの曲げ振動を含むことを特徴とする請求項5記載の振動波駆動装置。
