Abstract
【解決手段】燃料蒸気制御システム内の負圧を吸引するために、内燃機関が動作していないときに、これを電気モーター又は発電機によって回転させる。燃料蒸気制御システムにおいて、許容できない状態が存在するか否かを判定するために、負圧の流出が監視される。車両が停止しているか又は電気駆動モードにあるかのいずれかにおいて、蒸発燃料の排出テストを実行することが出来る。

Claims (24)
- 内燃機関が動作していないときに、この内燃機関が搭載された車両の燃料蒸気制御システムにおける蒸発燃料の排出を検出する方法であって、
上記内燃機関を上記燃料蒸気制御システムに接続する燃料蒸気制御弁を開く開放工程と、
上記燃料蒸気制御システムにおける燃料蒸気の圧力を低下させるために上記内燃機関を回転させる回転工程と、
その変化が上記燃料蒸気制御システムにおける蒸発燃料の排出の可能性に関連する、上記燃料蒸気制御システムにおける燃料蒸気の圧力を計測する計測工程と、
を有する方法。 - 上記開放工程に先立ち、
上記燃料蒸気制御システムから大気への蒸発燃料の漏れを制御する第1弁を閉じる工程と、
上記内燃機関のスロットルを介して上記内燃機関へ空気が入ることを防止するために、上記スロットルを閉じる工程と、
を更に有する請求項1の方法。 - 上記回転工程と上記計測工程との間に、上記燃料蒸気制御弁を閉じる工程を更に有する請求項2の方法。
- 上記スロットルを閉じる上記工程が、上記内燃機関への空気の流れを制御するスロットル・プレートを閉じる工程を有する、請求項2又は3のいずれかの方法。
- 上記回転工程では、電気駆動モーターを用いて上記内燃機関に動力を供給する、前記請求項1〜4のいずれか1つの方法。
- 上記回転工程が予め設定された長さの期間にわたり継続する、前記請求項1〜5のいずれか1つの方法。
- 上記計測工程が上記予め設定された長さの期間にわたり継続する、請求項6の方法。
- 上記予め設定された長さの期間の後で、燃料蒸気制御弁を閉じる工程を更に有する、請求項6又は7のいずれかの方法。
- 上記回転工程が予め設定された長さの時間、継続し、そして、
上記計測された蒸気圧力が予め設定された圧力を下回るときに、上記燃料蒸気制御弁を閉じる工程を更に有する、前記請求項1〜8のいずれか1つの方法。 - 上記回転工程では、電気モーターとして機能する発電機によって上記内燃機関へ動力を供給する、前記請求項1〜9のいずれか1つの方法。
- 予め設定された長さの時間にわたり蒸気圧力が計測された後で、上記内燃機関の回転を終了させる工程を更に有する、前記請求項1〜10のいずれか1つの方法。
- 上記内燃機関の回転が終了した後で蒸気圧力を監視する工程を更に有する、請求項11の方法。
- 燃料タンク、換気口への燃料蒸気の流れを制御するベント・バルブ、内燃機関の吸気マニフォールドへの空気の流れを制御するスロットル弁、及び、該内燃機関との間の燃料蒸気の流れを制御する燃料蒸気制御弁を備えた燃料蒸気制御システムにおける、蒸発燃料の排出を検出する方法であって、
上記ベント・バルブを閉じる工程と、
空気が上記内燃機関から吸引されるのを防止するために、上記スロットル弁を閉じる工程と、
上記吸気マニフォールドを上記燃料蒸気制御システムとの流体連通状態に置くために、上記燃料蒸気制御弁を開く工程と、
上記燃料蒸気制御システム内に負圧を作り出すために、補助動力源を用いて上記内燃機関を回転させる回転工程と、
上記燃料蒸気制御弁を閉じる工程と、
その変化が上記燃料蒸気制御システムにおける蒸発燃料の排出の可能性を表示する、該燃料蒸気制御システム内の蒸気圧力を計測する計測工程と、
を有する方法。 - 上記スロットル弁を閉じる工程が、上記吸気マニフォールドへの空気流を制御するスロットル・プレートを閉じる工程を有する、請求項13の方法。
- 上記回転工程が、補助動力源として発電機を用いることにより実行される、請求項13又は14のいずれかの方法。
- 上記回転工程が、上記燃料蒸気制御システム内の蒸気圧力が予め設定された圧力値まで降下するまで、継続される、請求項13〜15のいずれか1つの方法。
- 上記回転工程が、予め設定された長さの時間にわたり継続させられる、請求項13〜15のいずれか1つの方法。
- 上記内燃機関の回転を停止する工程を更に有し、そして、
上記計測工程が、上記回転工程が停止した後で実行される、請求項13〜17のいずれか1つの方法。 - 内燃機関と電気駆動モーターを搭載したハイブリッド駆動車両の燃料蒸気制御システムにおける蒸発燃料の排出を検出する方法であって、
上記内燃機関が動作しているか否かを判定する工程と、
上記内燃機関が動作していないと判定されるならば、上記燃料蒸気制御システムを閉じる工程と、
上記内燃機関を上記燃料蒸気制御システムに接続する燃料蒸気制御弁を開く工程と、
上記燃料蒸気制御システムにおける燃料蒸気圧力を低下させるために、上記内燃機関を回転させる回転工程と、
上記燃料蒸気制御弁を閉じる工程と、
その変化が上記燃料蒸気制御システムにおける蒸発燃料の排出の可能性を表示する、該燃料蒸気制御システムにおける蒸気圧力を計測する工程と、
を有する方法。 - 上記燃料蒸気制御システムを閉じる工程が、該燃料蒸気制御システムを大気に接続するバルブを閉じる工程を有する、請求項19の方法。
- 上記燃料蒸気制御システムを閉じる工程が更に、上記内燃機関への空気の流れを防ぐために内燃機関のスロットル弁を閉じる工程を更に有する、請求項20の方法。
- 上記燃料蒸気制御システムを閉じる工程が、上記内燃機関への空気の流れを防ぐために内燃機関のスロットル弁を閉じる工程を更に有する、請求項19の方法。
- 上記回転工程が、上記電気駆動モーターにより上記内燃機関を回転させる工程を有する、請求項19〜22のいずれか1つの方法。
- 上記回転工程が、発電機により上記内燃機関を回転させる工程を有する、請求項19〜23のいずれか1つの方法。
