Abstract
【解決手段】光記録媒体10は、基板12と光透過性カバー層14との間にL0層16、L1層18、L2層20、L3層22の4層の記録層及び各記録層間の光透過性スペーサ層17、19、21を積層して構成されていて、前記L2層20は、再生用レーザ光の入射角に対して、反射率が負の依存性を持つ構成とされている。

Claims (7)
- 基板と光透過性カバー層との間に、基板側から少なくともL0層、L1層、L2層の3層の記録層及び各記録層間の光透過性スペーサ層を積層してなる光記録媒体であって、
前記L0層を除く記録層のうち少なくとも1層の記録層が、再生用レーザ光の入射角に対して、反射率が負の依存性を持つ構成とされていることを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1において、
反射率が入射角に対して負の依存性を有する前記記録層は、記録膜と、この記録膜を、厚さ方向両側から挟持する光透過性保護膜とから構成されてなり、前記記録膜の屈折率が、前記光透過性保護膜の屈折率よりも大きくされたことを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項2において、
前記光透過性保護膜の屈折率は、前記記録膜の膜厚tが、0<t≦5nmのとき、2.1以上2.5以下であることを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項2において、
前記光透過性保護膜の屈折率は、前記記録膜の膜厚tが、5<t≦30nmのとき、1.9以上2.35以下であることを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれかにおいて、
反射率が入射角に対して負の依存性を有する前記記録層は、膜厚tが0<t≦30nmの記録膜を含んでなることを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれかにおいて、
反射率が入射角に対して負の依存性を有する前記記録層は、再生用レーザ光が入射角0°で入射したときの反射率に対する、入射角θでの反射率の比である相対反射率Rthが、該記録層でのビームスポット径位置で0.9以下とされたことを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれかにおいて、
反射率が入射角に対して負の依存性を有する前記記録層は、再生用レーザ光が入射角0°で入射したときの反射率に対する、入射角θでの反射率の比である相対反射率Rthが、該記録層でのビームスポット径位置で0.85以下とされたことを特徴とする光記録媒体。
