Abstract
【解決手段】 中心軸線18を備えるキャビティを画定する内側壁16により包囲されたベース部14を有する支持体12を含み、複数のLED光源20が内側壁16により支持され、全体的に、光を中心軸線18に配向するように方向付けされる。中心軸線18の周囲には中央部材22が位置決めされ、LED光源20から受けた光を途中で遮断し、次いで全体的に中心軸線18と平行な方向23に反射するべく形状付けられ且つ位置決めした第1反射面24を有する。各LED光源20に隣り合って位置付けた1つ以上の光学ガイド26が、光を中心部材22に向けて配向する内側反射面28を有する。

Description
本発明は光源に関し、詳しくは、発光ダイオード(単数あるいは複数のLED)を用いる光源に関し、更に詳しくは、自動車の、例えばヘッドライト、テールライト、ストップライト、フォグライト、方向指示器のような、自動車分野で使用される光源に関する。
近年、自動車光源用途の幾つか、詳しくはストップランプはLEDに代替されつつある。これらの半導体光源の寿命範囲は100,000時間という驚くべきものであり、振動によって破損することもない。自動車用光源の用途をその他の範囲に拡げる、特には、光の放出を特定目的のために適切に制御することができれば斯界における発展が期待される。
ランプ構成部品10には更に、各LED光源20に隣り合って位置付けた1つ以上の光学ガイド26が含まれる。各光学ガイド26は、光を中心部材22に向けて配向する内側反射面28を有する。
支持体12は、LED光源から発生する熱をランプ構成部品から離れた部分に伝達するものとして既知の放熱特徴部分を含む。
ここに開示された任意のあるいは全ての実施例において、光学要素40のスパン長は第1反射体22の軸方向投影図の範囲を跨ぐようなものである。光学要素は光ファイバー、レンズ、光パイプその他の、光配向媒体あるいは光増強用媒体であり得る。
中心部材22の外側形態を適宜に選択することにより追加的な補強を施し得る。例えば、図6に示す中心部材22は純円錐形態のものであり得る。あるいは、図7に示す中心部材22aは多角形側面を有する円錐形態であり得、図8に示す中心部材22bはホタテ貝状の側面を有する多角形円錐形態のものであり得る。

Claims (13)
- 中心軸線を有するキャビティを画定する内側壁により包囲された、ベース部を有する支持体と、内側壁に支持され且つ全体的に光を中心軸線方向に配向するべく意図された複数のLED光源と、LED光源から受けた光を途中で遮るべく形状付けされ且つ位置決めされた第1反射面を備える中心部材と、を含むランプ構成部品。
- 各LED光源に隣り合って位置付けられた1つ以上の光学ガイドにして、光を中心部材に向けて配向する反射面を有する光学ガイドを更に含む請求項1のランプ構成部品。
- 光学ガイドが光伝達性の中実胴部を有し、該中実胴部が、LED光源からの光を受けるための、各LED光源に隣り合う入口表面と、受けた光を配向するための内側反射面と、LED光源及び内側反射面からの光を中心部材の第1反射面に伝達する出口窓と、を有する請求項2のランプ構成部品。
- LED光源から受けた光を、外側の中心部材の第1反射面に向けて配向するように通過させる出口窓が、光を第1反射面の方向に収束させるレンズを有している請求項3のランプ構成部品。
- 光学ガイドが、各LED光源からの光を受けるための、各該LED光源に隣り合う入口開口と、受けたLED光源からの光を配向するための内側反射面と、前記LED光源からの光及び前記内側反射面からの光を第1反射面に伝達するための出口窓と、を備えた中空の反射体である請求項2のランプ構成部品。
- 中空の反射体が、外側の中心部材の第1反射面の方向に光を収束するレンズに向けて光を配向する請求項5のランプ構成部品。
- 支持体がLED光源からの熱を伝導するための放熱用部分を含んでいる請求項1のランプ構成部品。
- 第1反射面の軸線方向の突出部分を跨ぐ光学要素を更に含む請求項1のランプ構成部品。
- 光学要素が光ファイバーである請求項8のランプ構成部品。
- 光学要素がレンズである請求項8のランプ構成部品。
- 光学要素が光パイプである請求項8のランプ構成部品。
- LED光源がキャリヤの内側面に取り付けられ、光学ガイドが、キャリヤに摺動自在に嵌着する反射体として実質的に共形成される請求項1のランプ構成部品。
- ランプ構成部品であって、
支持体により各支持された複数のLED光源にして、中心軸線の周囲に全体に環状に配列され且つ、光を前記中心軸線と平行方向に送るべく全体的に方向付けされたLED光源と、1つ以上の各LED光源から放出される光を途中で遮断し且つ該光を中心部材に向けて前記中心軸線を横断する方向に反射するべく位置決めされ且つ方向付けされた反射面を有する少なくとも1つの反射体とを含み、前記中心部材が、LED光源から受けた反射光を途中で遮断し且つ、該受けた反射光を前記中心軸線と平行な方向に全体的に反射させるべく形状付けされ且つ位置決めされた第1反射面を有しているランプ構成部品。
