Abstract
【解決手段】 表示部に対して、極性反転する前記画像信号を発生して供給する画像信号発生手段5と、前記表示部によって表示される画像の各画素位置の輝度を検出する輝度検出手段3,4と、前記表示部に設定する基準電圧を変更しながら、正極性及び負極性の前記画像信号同士の輝度差を各画素位置で求め、最小輝度差を与える基準電圧の前記表示部における分布を求めて、前記正極性及び負極性の画像信号の実効値を一致させる最適基準電圧を得るための画像補正量を出力する補正値演算手段9とを具備したことを特徴とする。

Description
ここで、画像信号の極性とは、基準電圧であるLCコモン電圧を基準とした相対的な極性のことを言う。
先ず図2を参照して本実施の形態によって求めた画像補正量を利用するプロジェクタの光学系の構成について概略的に説明する。
次に、上述した処理回路をプロジェクタ以外の電子機器に用いた例について説明する。
Claims (7)
- 格子状に配設された複数のソース線及び複数の走査線の各交差に対応して画素が構成され、前記走査線に供給される走査信号によって前記画素に設けられたスイッチング素子がオンされることによって前記ソース線に供給された画像信号が前記スイッチング素子を介して各画素の画素電極に与えられて画素表示が行われる表示部に対して、極性反転する前記画像信号を発生して供給する画像信号発生手段と、
前記表示部によって表示される画像の各画素位置の輝度を検出する輝度検出手段と、
前記表示部に設定する基準電圧を変更しながら、正極性及び負極性の前記画像信号同士の輝度差を各画素位置で求め、最小輝度差を与える基準電圧の前記表示部における分布を求めて、前記正極性及び負極性の画像信号の実効値を一致させる最適基準電圧を得るための画像補正量を出力する補正値演算手段とを具備したことを特徴とする画像補正量検出装置。 - 前記画像補正量は、前記表示部と同一構成の表示部に設定する設定基準電圧と前記最小輝度差を与える基準電圧との差を各画素毎に求めた値であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像補正量検出装置。
- 前記輝度検出手段は、前記画像の全画素位置のうちの一部の画素位置の輝度を検出し、
前記補正値演算手段は、前記輝度検出手段の輝度の検出結果を補間処理して前記画像の全画素位置の輝度値を得ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像補正量検出装置。 - 前記画像信号発生手段は、面内において、正極性駆動される画素に中間調表示及び黒表示のうちの一方を行う画像信号を供給し、負極性駆動される画素に中間調表示及び黒表示のうちの他方を行う画像信号を供給することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像補正量検出装置。
- 請求項1に記載の画像補正量検出装置によって求められた画像補正量の情報であって、フリッカを最小にするための画像補正量の情報を記憶する記憶手段と、
格子状に配設された複数のソース線及び複数の走査線の各交差に対応して画素が構成され、前記走査線に供給される走査信号によって前記画素に設けられたスイッチング素子がオンされることによって前記ソース線に供給された画像信号が前記スイッチング素子を介して各画素の画素電極に与えられて画素表示が行われる表示部に対して、前記記憶手段に記憶されている画像補正量の情報に基づいて補正された画像信号を供給する補正手段とを具備したことを特徴とする電気光学装置用駆動回路。 - 格子状に配設された複数のソース線及び複数の走査線の各交差に対応して画素が構成され、前記走査線に供給される走査信号によって前記画素に設けられたスイッチング素子がオンされることによって前記ソース線に供給された画像信号が前記スイッチング素子を介して各画素の画素電極に与えられて画素表示が行われる表示部と、
前記表示部に前記画像信号を供給する請求項5に記載の電気光学装置用駆動回路とを具備したことを特徴とする電気光学装置。 - 請求項6に記載の電気光学装置を用いて表示装置を構成したことを特徴とする電子機器。
