Claims (19)
- 屈折率n1の光ファイバ(2)を有する光導波路(8)を備え、前記光ファイバ(2)がファイバガイド(6)内又は間に介挿される圧力センサにおいて、
前記ファイバ(2)とファイバガイド(6)との間に中間空間(10)が形成され、該空間(10)内に、前記屈折率n1より小さな屈折率n2を持ち、前記光ファイバ(2)を取り囲む媒体が存在し、前記ファイバガイド(6)は圧力作用を受けたとき前記光ファイバ(2)に接するように構成され、前記光ファイバにより光拡散を減衰させることを特徴とする圧力センサ。 - 前記ファイバガイドが屈折率n3を有し、かつn3>n1>n2の関係があることを特徴とする請求項1記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記媒体がガス、特に空気であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記ファイバ(2)が圧力作用なしの無負荷状態で前記ファイバガイド(6)から5〜20μm離れていることを特徴とする請求項1から3の1つに記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記ファイバガイド(6)がファイバ(2)を取り囲み、前記中空空間(10)を形成するようにファイバ(2)に複数の支持部(14)で支持される保護被覆(12A、B、C)として構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1から4の1つに記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記保護被覆(12B)が四角形の断面を持つことを特徴とする請求項5記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記保護被覆(12B)がファイバ(2)を同心的に取り囲み、ファイバ(2)に対して間隔を保持する間隔片(14)を備えることを特徴とする請求項5記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記ファイバガイド(6)は表面粗さを持っており、圧力作用なしの無負荷時でも前記ファイバ(2)に部分的に接し、前記中間空間(10)が前記表面粗さによって保証されることを特徴とする請求項1から4の1つに記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記ファイバガイド(6)がパッキング部材(26)として構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1から8の1つに記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記光導波路(8)はその終端側で前記ファイバ(2)と前記ファイバガイド(6)との間の結合部(16)内に、圧力を受けた際前記結合部(16)の光ファイバ(2)内で光拡散が減衰しないように構成された中間部材(20)を備えることを特徴とする請求項1から9の1つに記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記中間部材(20)が反射層、特に前記屈折率n1より小さな屈折率n4を持つ反射層を備えることを特徴とする請求項10記載の圧力センサ。
- 圧力を受けたことを場所的に特定して検知すべく、互いに分離された複数の光ファイバ(2)が設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1から11の1つに記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記複数の光ファイバ(2)が互いに交差し格子状に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項12記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記ファイバ(2)の一部領域内の感度を低下させるべく、圧力を受けた際前記一部領域内の光拡散の減衰を阻止する不活性部材(40)、特に反射箔が設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1から13の1つに記載の圧力センサ。
- 圧力センサがスイッチ素子として構成され、そのため圧力部材(32)が設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1から14の1つに記載の圧力センサ。
- 前記圧力部材(32)が、その作動時にファイバ(2)内で拡散する光の一部が放出されて目視可能となるように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項15記載の圧力センサ。
- 請求項1から16の1つに記載の圧力センサを備えた自動車。
- 圧力センサがパッキング部材(26)に内蔵され、挟み込み保護装置の一部をなす請求項17記載の自動車。
- 屈折率n1の光ファイバ(2)を有する光導波路(8)を備え、前記光ファイバ(2)はファイバガイド(6)内又はガイド(6)間に介挿され、圧力作用なしの無負荷時に前記ファイバ(2)と前記ファイバガイド(6)との間に前記屈折率n1より小さな屈折率n2の中間空間(10)が形成されており、前記ファイバ(2)内に光が入射することにより、前記ファイバ(2)に直接接する中間空間内の外部領域内にエバネッセント電場が形成され、圧力を受けた際前記ファイバガイド(6)が前記エバネッセント電場を形成する前記外部領域内に位置することで、前記エバネッセント電場、従って光拡散が前記ファイバ(2)内で弱められ、その弱まりを検知することを特徴とする光導波路による圧力検知方法。
