Abstract
【解決手段】少なくとも合成超吸収体粒子を含む組成物に少なくとも3kN/cmの比接触力または少なくとも3kN/cm2の圧力を加えることにより製造可能な圧縮された超吸収体であって、使用される粒子の5%を超えるものが250μm以下の粒径を有する圧縮された超吸収体、該超吸収体の製造方法、この種類の超吸収体から製造される複合材料、および該超吸収体の使用。

(実施例)
遠心分離保持容量(CRC)
CRCはティーバッグ法により、3つの計測値の平均値として求められる。ポリマー約200mgをティーバッグに封入し、0.9%食塩水に30分間浸漬する。その後ティーバッグを遠心分離機(直径23cm、1,400rpm)にかけ3分間遠心し、秤量する。吸水性ポリマーを含まないティーバッグについてブランク値を測る。
圧力下吸収率(負荷0.7psi)は、欧州特許第0339461号明細書、7頁に記載の方法により求められる。超吸収体約0.9gを、篩い分け底面付きのシリンダー上で秤量する。均一に分布された超吸収体層にスタンプ機で0.7psiの圧力を加える。予め秤量したシリンダーを、0.9%食塩水を入れたトレー中に置かれたガラス製フィルタープレート上に置く。この溶液の液面は、高さがフィルタープレートと正確に一致している。シリンダー装置に0.9%食塩水を1時間吸収させた後、このシリンダーを再秤量し、AAPを以下のように算出する。
安定性試験は、ロールミルである米国ストーンウェア社のジャーミル(米国ストーンウェア社755型)を使用して行う。また、圧縮された超吸収体10gを粉砕媒体(円筒状の磁器片:ストーンウェア社、外径0.5インチ×長さ0.5インチ)127gと共に粉砕ポット(アルミナ強化粉砕ジャー:ストーンウェア社774型、サイズ000)に加える。
この方法では、膨潤体が最大膨潤状態に達するまでの速度と、試験媒体において形成される膨潤圧の量を測定する。

Claims (12)
- 少なくとも合成超吸収体粒子を含む組成物に少なくとも3kN/cmの比接触力または少なくとも3kN/cm2の圧力を加えることにより製造可能な圧縮された超吸収体であって、使用される粒子の5%を超えるものが250μm以下の粒径を有することを特徴とする圧縮された超吸収体。
- 使用される粒子の35%を超えるものが150μm以下の粒径を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の超吸収体。
- 組成物の含水量が少なくとも1重量%であることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の超吸収体。
- 組成物が少なくとも1種の無機結合剤または有機結合剤を含むことを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載の超吸収体。
- 少なくとも合成超吸収体粒子を含む組成物に少なくとも3kN/cmの比接触力または少なくとも3kN/cm2の圧力を加えることにより該組成物を圧縮する、圧縮された超吸収体の製造方法であって、使用される粒子の5%を超えるものが250μm以下の粒径を有することを特徴とする製造方法。
- 使用される粒子の35%を超えるものが150μm未満の粒径を有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の製造方法。
- 粒子を圧縮前に、圧縮に使用される全粒子の重量に対して少なくとも1重量%の水と混合することを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載の製造方法。
- 粒子を圧縮前に、無機結合剤1種、有機結合剤1種、またはこれら2種以上の混合物を含む水溶液と混合することを特徴とする請求項5〜7のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の圧縮された超吸収体、または請求項5〜8のいずれかに記載の方法により製造される圧縮された超吸収体を基材と接触させることを含む複合材料の製造方法。
- 請求項9に記載の方法により得られる複合材料。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の圧縮された超吸収体、請求項5〜8のいずれかに記載の方法により製造される圧縮された超吸収体、またはこれら2種以上の混合物を含む、発泡体、成形体、繊維、シート、フィルム、ケーブル、シール材、吸液性衛生用品、植物・菌類生育調節剤用の担体、包装材料、土壌添加剤、または建設材料。
- 発泡体、成形体、繊維、シート、フィルム、ケーブル、シール材、吸液性衛生用品、植物・菌類生育調節剤用の担体、包装材料、土壌添加剤、または建設材料における、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の圧縮された超吸収体、請求項5〜8のいずれかに記載の方法により製造される圧縮された超吸収体、またはこれら2種以上の混合物、もしくは請求項9に記載の方法により製造される複合材料、または請求項10に記載の複合材料の使用。
