Abstract

Claims (15)
- 基板と、
前記基板の一面に形成された第1有機電界発光部と、
前記基板の一面に形成され、前記第1有機電界発光部に隣接した第2有機電界発光部と、を含み、
前記第1有機電界発光部から発光された光は、前記基板の一側に向かって露出され、前記第2有機電界発光部から発光された光は、前記基板の他側に向かって露出されることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1有機電界発光部及び前記第2有機電界発光部は、各画素に少なくとも1つの薄膜トランジスタを含み、
前記第1有機電界発光部の薄膜トランジスタと前記第2有機電界発光部の薄膜トランジスタとは、同じ層に備えられたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1有機電界発光部の薄膜トランジスタと前記第2有機電界発光部の薄膜トランジスタとは、各々前記基板上で同一層に形成されたものであって、
半導体活性層と、
前記半導体活性層のチャンネル領域に対応する領域に形成されたゲート電極と、
前記半導体活性層のソース及びドレイン領域に各々接するように導電性素材よりなるソース及びドレイン電極と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1有機電界発光部及び前記第2有機電界発光部は、各画素でデータ信号が入力されて選択されるスイッチング薄膜トランジスタを含み、
前記第1有機電界発光部のスイッチング薄膜トランジスタと前記第2有機電界発光部のスイッチング薄膜トランジスタとは、同じデータラインと電気的に連結されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1有機電界発光部及び前記第2有機電界発光部は、各画素で有機電界発光素子を駆動する駆動薄膜トランジスタを含み、
前記第1有機電界発光部の駆動薄膜トランジスタと前記第2有機電界発光部の駆動薄膜トランジスタとは、同じ駆動ラインと電気的に連結されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1有機電界発光部は、前記基板の対向側に向かって発光し、前記第2有機電界発光部は、前記基板側に向かって発光することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1有機電界発光部は、前記基板側に近い順に備えられた第1電極層、有機層、及び第2電極層を含み、
前記第1電極層は反射型電極であり、前記第2電極層は透過型電極であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1有機電界発光部の第1電極層は、
基板側に形成された金属電極層と、
基板の対向側に形成された透明電極層と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1有機電界発光部の第2電極層は、
基板側に形成された金属電極層と、
基板の対向側に形成された透明電極層と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第2有機電界発光部は、前記基板側に近い順に備えられた第1電極層、有機層、及び第2電極層を含み、
前記第1電極層は透過型電極であり、前記第2電極層は反射型電極であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第2有機電界発光部の第1電極層は、透明電極層を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2有機電界発光部の第2電極層は、金属電極層を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1有機電界発光部と前記第2有機電界発光部とは、交互に駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2有機電界発光部上で、前記基板の対向側に吸湿剤が備えられたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記基板の他面のうち、前記第1有機電界発光部が形成された位置には、外光反射部材が備えられたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
