Abstract
【解決手段】 LED光源(10)が、台座(14)を有するハウジング(12)を含む。中央伝熱体(18)が中空コア(16)内の中央に位置付けられ、銅のような好適な伝熱材料から形成される。キャップ(36)が第2印刷回路基盤(24)を覆って嵌装され、ヒートシンク(38)が台座(14)に取り付けられ且つ第1印刷回路基盤(20)と熱的に接触される。ヒートシンク(38)は、台座(14)の上面(46)を上被する形状とした複数のフィンガ部分(44)において終端する直立側壁(42)を備える底部(40)を有する。

Description
LED光源は完全独立型のものであり、既存のリフレクタに組み付けることができる。自動車分野で長年用いられてきたような標準のプラグ及びソケット配列構成により必要な電気的接続が提供される。
ヒートシンク38と第1印刷回路基盤とは、サーマゴン304(商標名)のような伝熱パテ39によって熱的に接触させ得る。
全てのLED光源10は軸線を中心として実質的に対称配列されることから、軸線に沿って配列した全てのパーツを、正しい方向を提供させるべくキー止めすれば組み立て作業は極めて楽なものとなる。
スレッドフォーミングスクリューを使用することで、銅製の支柱への熱的接触性が増長され、かくして二次加工作業が排除される。
LED光源に対する外部電気接点が、型成型した3つの電気接点72を含むプラグ70を介して提供される。従って、第1印刷回路基盤20に接続するために必要とされるハンダ用ポイントは7つだけであり、その内3つは型成型した電気接点72のポイントであり、4つは導電体30のポイントである。コア16の周囲にリフレクタガスケット80が位置決めされ、O−リング82が、ベース14内で環境シールを提供するように位置決めされる。

Claims (6)
- LED光源であって、
台座を有するハウジングと、
台座から突出し、実質的に切頭円錐形状を有する中空のコアと、
中空のコア内の中央に位置付けた中央伝熱体と、
中央伝熱体の一端に結合した第1印刷回路基盤と、
中央伝熱体の第2端に嵌装された第2印刷回路基盤にして、該第2印刷回路基盤に固定した少なくとも1つのLED光源を有する第2印刷回路基盤と、
第2印刷回路基盤に取り付けられ且つ該第2印刷回路基盤から伸延される近位端と、第1印刷回路基盤に取り付けた遠位端とを有する複数の導電体と、
第2印刷回路基盤を覆って嵌装したキャップと、
第1印刷回路基盤と熱的に接触する状態下に前記台座に取り付けられたヒートシンクにして、台座の上面に上被する形状とした複数のフィンガ部分において終端する直立側壁を備える底部を有するヒートシンクと、
を含むLED光源。 - ヒートシンクと第1印刷回路基盤との間の熱的接触が伝熱パテにより達成される請求項1のLED光源。
- 中空コアが、キー溝を設けた第1端と、第2端とを有し、第1端にはキー溝が設けられ、中央伝熱体が、中空コアの第1端の前記キー溝と合致するコアキーを有する第1端と、第2端とを有している請求項1のLED光源。
- 中央伝熱体の第2端がキー溝を有し、第1位印刷回路基盤が該キー溝と合致するキーを有している請求項3のLED光源。
- 中央伝熱体が、第1印刷回路と第2印刷回路基盤とを整合状態に維持するための、該第1印刷回路と第2印刷回路基盤との間で中央伝熱体の周囲に位置決めした伝導体整合体を有している請求項4のLED光源。
- 第2印刷回路基盤がスレッドフォーミングスクリューにより中央伝熱体に固定される請求項1のLED光源。
