Abstract
【課題】 SAE粘度分類により規定されている最も低い粘度グレードのエンジン油組成物よりさらに低粘度化されたエンジン油組成物であって、耐摩耗剤の添加量を増量することなく、高温における耐摩耗性を確保し、耐摩耗性に優れた低粘度エンジン油組成物を提供する。
【解決手段】 鉱油および/または合成油からなる基油に、ジチオリン酸亜鉛をリン量として0.02〜0.12質量%および少なくとも一種のエンジン油用添加剤を有効量配合してなるエンジン油組成物であって、
(1)150℃および1×106s−1の剪断条件下における高温高剪断粘度が2.6mPa・s未満であり、
かつ、
(2)次の式;

を満たすことを特徴とするエンジン油組成物。

Description
エンジン内で摩擦、摩耗が特に問題となる箇所は前記のピストンリング/シリンダライナ、クランクシャフト軸受、動弁機構の摺動部である。
鉱油および/または合成油からなる基油に、組成物全重量基準で、ジチオリン酸亜鉛をリン量として0.02〜0.12質量%および少なくとも一種のエンジン油用添加剤を有効量配合してなるエンジン油組成物であって、
(1)150℃および1×106s−1の剪断条件下における高温高剪断粘度が2.6mPa・s未満であり、
かつ
(2)次の式;
が提供される。
2)前記基油の100℃動粘度が、2〜40mm2/sである前記エンジン油組成物。
3)前記基油の100℃動粘度が、2〜20mm2/sである前記エンジン油組成物。
4)前記基油の100℃動粘度が、3〜8mm2/sである前記エンジン油組成。
5)前記HTHS150℃粘度が、2.4mPa・s未満である前記エンジン油組成物。
6)前記100℃動粘度とHTHS100℃粘度との比(KV100/HTHS100)が、1.20〜1.28である前記エンジン油組成物。
7)前記HTHS150℃粘度が、2.4mPa・s未満であり、かつ、前記KV100/HTHS100が1.20〜1.28である前記エンジン油組成物。
8)前記エンジン油用添加剤が、粘度指数向上剤、無灰分散剤、金属系清浄剤、酸化防止剤、摩擦調整剤、腐食防止剤、摩耗防止剤、流動点降下剤、極圧剤、防錆剤および消泡剤からなる群より選択される少なくとも一種の添加剤である前記エンジン油組成物。
9)前記粘度指数向上剤の配合量が、エンジン油組成物全重量基準で2質量%以下である前記エンジン油組成物。
10)エンジン回転数8000rpm以上で作動可能な内燃機関の潤滑に用いられる前記エンジン油組成物。
該エンジン油組成物は、基油と、該基油に含有されたZnDTPと、エンジン油用添加剤を構成成分として含有する。
粘度指数向上剤としては、一般に非分散型ポリメタアクリレート、分散型ポリメタアクリレート、非分散型オレフィンコポリマー(ポリイソブチレン、エチレン−プロピレン共重合体)、分散型オレフィンコポリマー、ポリアルキルスチレン、スチレン−ブタジエン水添共重合体、スチレン−無水マレイン酸エステル共重合体、星状イソプレン等が挙げられる。これらは単独だけでなく複数のものを併用してもよく、エンジン油組成物のKV100/HTHS100≦1.3を満足する範囲内で配合することができるが、約2質量%までの割合に制御することが好ましい。
なお、実施例等において用いた各試料油組成物の性状および性能評価のために用いた試験法は、次の(1)〜(4)に示す通りである。
また、各試料油組成物の成分として使用した基油は下記の(5)に、ジチオリン酸亜鉛およびエンジン油用添加剤は、それぞれ(6)および(7)に示す通りのものである。
ASTM D−4683で規定された操作および条件に従い、100
℃および150℃において、HTHS100℃粘度およびHTHS1
50℃粘度をそれぞれ測定した。
(2)動粘度(KV);
JIS K2283に準拠
(3)NOACK蒸発性(NOACK法蒸発性試験(ASTM D−5800));
ASTM D−5800に規定された方法で250℃×1時間加熱後
の蒸発量を測定した。蒸発量の測定にはISL社製ノアック自動蒸発
性能測定装置NCK2型を用いた。
(4)耐摩耗性評価法;
SRV社製ボールオンディスク摩擦摩耗試験機を用いて摩耗試験を行
ない、その摩耗痕深さを表面粗さ計で測定した。ボールおよびディス
クの材質および測定条件を次に示す。
・ボールおよびディスクの材質:SUJ2
・条件:油温 80℃
荷重 50N
振動数 50Hz
振巾 1.5mm
評価時間 2h
(5)基油
鉱油系基油
・パラフィン系溶剤精製鉱油A 100℃動粘度:5.2mm2/s
・パラフィン系溶剤精製鉱油B 100℃動粘度:5.0mm2/s
合成油系基油
・ポリα−オレフィンA 100℃動粘度:7.6mm2/s
・ポリα−オレフィンB 100℃動粘度:6.4mm2/s
・ポリα−オレフィンC 100℃動粘度:6.1mm2/s
・ポリα−オレフィンD 100℃動粘度:4.8mm2/s
・ポリα−オレフィンE 100℃動粘度:4.1mm2/s
(6)ジチオリン酸亜鉛;第1級C3/C6-ZnDTPと第2級C8-ZnDTPの混合物
(7)エンジン油用添加剤;
(a)粘度指数向上剤 ;非分散型オレフィンコポリマー
(b)その他の添加剤;
無灰分散剤としてボロン系ポリブテニルコハク酸イミド系、
金属系清浄剤として過塩基性Ca-スルホネート、過塩基性
Ca-フェネート、中性Ca-スルホネート、
酸化防止剤として 4,4'-メチレンビス(2,6-ジ-t-ブチルフ
ェノール)、アルキルジフェニルアミン、
腐食防止剤としてチアジアゾール
を含む添加剤パッケージ
および
消泡剤としてポリジメチルシロキサン
パラフィン系溶剤精製鉱油Aとポリα−オレフィンAとを1:1の比率(質量ベース)で混合して得られた100℃動粘度6.3mm2/sの基油に前記その他の添加剤(添加剤パッケージおよび消泡剤)を2.4質量%およびジチオリン酸亜鉛を0.6質量%(リン量として0.05質量%)配合し、HTHS150℃粘度;2.1mPa・s、KV100/HTHS100;1.22、NOACK蒸発性;8質量%の試料油組成物Aを得た。
試料油組成物AをSRV社製ボールオンディスク摩擦摩耗試験機による耐摩耗性の評価に供したところ、SRV摩耗痕深さの測定結果が0.14μmであった。
パラフィン系溶剤精製鉱油Aとポリα−オレフィンBとを1:1の比率(質量ベース)で混合して得られた100℃動粘度5.8mm2/sの基油に、前記その他の添加剤(添加剤パッケージおよび消泡剤)を4.8質量%およびジチオリン酸亜鉛を0.6質量%(リン量として0.05質量%)配合し、HTHS150℃粘度;2.1mPa・s、KV100/HTHS100;1.22の試料油組成物Bを得た。
試料油組成物Bを前記の耐摩耗性評価に供したところ、SRV摩耗痕深さの測定結果が0.15μmであった。
パラフィン系溶剤精製鉱油Aとポリα−オレフィンCとを1:1の比率(質量ベース)で混合して得られた100℃動粘度5.6mm2/sの基油に前記その他の添加剤(添加剤パッケージおよび消泡剤)を2.4質量%およびジチオリン酸亜鉛を0.6質量%(リン量として0.05質量%)配合した後、粘度指数向上剤を1.9質量%配合し、HTHS150℃粘度;2.1mPa・s、KV100/HTHS100;1.27の試料油組成物Cを得た。
試料油組成物Cを前記の耐摩耗性評価に供したところ、SRV摩耗痕深さの測定結果が0.16μmであった。
パラフィン系溶剤精製鉱油Aとポリα−オレフィンDとを1:1の比率(質量ベース)で混合して得られた100℃動粘度5.0mm2/sの基油に前記その他の添加剤(添加剤パッケージおよび消泡剤)を2.4質量%およびジチオリン酸亜鉛を0.6質量%(リン量として0.05質量%)配合した後、粘度指数向上剤を3.4質量%配合し、HTHS150℃粘度;2.1mPa・s、KV100/HTHS100;1.35の試料油組成物aを得た。
このようにして得られた試料油組成物aを前記の耐摩耗性評価に供したところ、SRV摩耗痕深さの測定結果が0.22μmであった。
パラフィン系溶剤精製鉱油Bとポリα−オレフィンEとを1:1(質量ベース)の比率で混合して得られた100℃動粘度4.5mm2/sの基油に前記その他の添加剤(添加剤パッケージおよび消泡剤)を4.8質量%およびジチオリン酸亜鉛を0.6質量%(リン量として0.05質量%)配合した後、粘度指数向上剤を3.3質量%配合し、HTHS150℃粘度;2.1mPa・s、KV100/HTHS100;1.35の試料油組成物bを得た。
試料油組成物bを前記の耐摩耗性評価に供したところ、SRV摩耗痕深さの測定結果が0.24μmであった。
市販油(SAE粘度グレード 5W−30)を入手し、その耐摩耗性をSRV社製ボールオンディスク摩擦摩耗試験機を用いて評価したところ、SRV摩耗痕深さは0.18μmであった。なお、HTHS150℃粘度が3.0mPa・sであり、本発明における低粘度化されたエンジン油組成物のような省燃費効果を奏し得ないものである。
実施例1〜3と比較例1〜2を対比するといずれもHTHS150℃粘度は2.6mPa・s未満に低粘度化されているが、KV100/HTHS100が1.3を超えている比較例1および2の試料油組成物a、bでは、SRV摩耗痕深さが市販油よりも大きくなっており、低粘度化により耐摩耗性が悪化しているのに対し、KV100/HTHS100が1.3以下である実施例1〜3の試料油組成物A、BおよびCでは、SRV摩耗痕深さが著しく小さく、耐摩耗性において有利な効果を奏することが判明した。また、試料油組成物A、BおよびCは前記市販油で得られた摩耗痕深さより小さく、実用上も優れていることが実証された。
実施例3は、粘度指数向上剤を配合しても、KV100/HTHS100が1.3以下の範囲内であれば良好な耐摩耗性が得られることを示している。
Claims (2)
- 鉱油および/または合成油からなる基油に、組成物全重量基準で、ジチオリン酸亜鉛をリン量として0.02〜0.12質量%および少なくとも一種のエンジン油用添加剤を有効量配合してなるエンジン油組成物であって、
(1)150℃および1×106s−1の剪断条件下における高温高剪断粘度が2.6mPa・s未満であり、
かつ、
(2)次の式;
- (1)150℃および1×106s-1の剪断条件下における高温高剪断粘度が2.6mPa・s未満であり、
かつ、
(2)次の式;
(3)NOACK蒸発性が15質量%以下である請求項1に記載のエンジン油組成物。
