Abstract
【解決手段】 バルブリフト可変機構を備えたエンジンの動弁装置は、バルブの開角を変化させずにバルブのリフト量を増減することができ、かつバルブのリフト量の減少に応じてタペットクリアランスを減少させることができる。これにより、低バルブリフト時にリフト量に対するタペットクリアランスの比率が増加するのを防止して、タペットクリアランスのばらつきの影響を最小限に抑えるとともに、低バルブリフト時におけるバルブの着座速度を低下させて騒音の発生を防止することができる。

- バルブ(19)のリフト量を連続的に変化させるバルブリフト可変機構(33)を備えたエンジンの動弁装置であって、
バルブリフト可変機構(33)は、バルブ(19)のリフト量の変化に応じてタペットクリアランスを調整可能であることを特徴とするエンジンの動弁装置。 - バルブリフト可変機構(33)は、
バルブ(19)のステムエンドに当接するバルブ当接部(70)および動弁カム(69)に当接するカム当接部(65)を有するロッカーアーム(63)と、 一端部がロッカーアーム(63)に第1支点(64)で枢支されて他端部がエンジン本体(29)に第2支点(67)で枢支された第1リンク(61)と、
一端部がロッカーアーム(63)に第3支点(66)で枢支されて他端部がエンジン本体(16)に第4支点(68a)で枢支された第2リンク(62)と、 第1、第2リンク(61,62)の少なくとも一方のリンク(62)の前記他端部を枢支する支点(68a)を、動弁カム(69)の回転軸線と平行な軸線(C2)まわりに揺動させるクランク部材(68)と、
