Abstract
【解決手段】温度が上昇すれば、抵抗が高まって流入される電流を遮断するPTC素子と、このPTC素子に連結された入力端子であり、伝導性金属材で形成された第1リードと、PTC素子から連結されて出てきた出力端子であり、第1リードとは相異なる伝導性金属材で形成された第2リードと、を備える保護素子及びこれを備えたリチウム二次電池が開示される。本発明によれば、従来必要とした底プレートが削除されたために、電池の製造工程が単純化し、これにより、製造コストも節減される。また、缶とリードとが直接接合されるので、電池の電圧降下を最小化できる。

Claims (11)
- 温度が上昇すれば、抵抗が高まって流入される電流を遮断する正温度係数PTC素子と、
前記PTC素子で連結された入力端子であり、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で形成された第1リードと、
前記PTC素子から連結されて出てきた出力端子であり、ニッケルまたはニッケル合金で形成された第2リードと、を備えることを特徴とする保護素子。 - 温度が上昇すれば、抵抗が高まって流入される電流を遮断するPTC素子と、
前記PTC素子で連結された入力端子として、前記PTC素子に接触し、ニッケルまたはニッケル合金で形成されたニッケル層と、
前記ニッケル層の下面にアルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で形成されたクラッド層を含む第1リードと、
前記PTC素子から連結されて出てきた出力端子であり、ニッケルまたはニッケル合金で形成された第2リードと、を備えることを特徴とする保護素子。 - 正極板、負極板及び前記正極板と負極板間に介在されたセパレータを備える電極組立体を電解液と共に収容し、キャップ組立体によってその上端開口部が密封され、伝導性金属材で形成された缶と、
温度が上昇すれば、抵抗が高まって流入される電流を遮断するPTC素子と、
アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で形成されて前記缶の外部底面と前記PTC素子とを電気的に連結する第1リードと、
ニッケルまたはニッケル合金で形成されて前記PTC素子と保護回路または外部端子とを電気的に連結する第2リードと、を備えることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池。 - 前記缶は、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で形成されたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記缶の内部圧力が高まる時、内部ガスを放出させる安全ベントが、前記缶の上端部に提供されたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 正極板、負極板及び前記正極板と負極板間に介在されたセパレータを備える電極組立体を電解液と共に収容し、キャップ組立体によってその上端開口部が密封され、伝導性金属材で形成された缶と、
温度が上昇すれば、抵抗が高まって流入される電流を遮断するPTC素子と、
ニッケルまたはニッケル合金で形成されたニッケル層と、
前記ニッケル層の下面にアルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で形成されたクラッド層を含み、前記缶の外部底面と前記PTC素子とを電気的に連結する第1リードと、
ニッケルまたはニッケル合金で形成されて前記PTC素子と保護回路または外部端子とを電気的に連結する第2リードと、を備えることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池。 - 前記缶は、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で形成されたことを特徴とする請求項6に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記缶の内部圧力が高まる時、内部ガスを放出させる安全ベントが、前記缶の上端部に提供されたことを特徴とする請求項6に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 正極板、負極板及び前記正極板と負極板間に介在されたセパレータを備える電極組立体を電解液と共に収容し、キャップ組立体によってその上端開口部が密封され、伝導性金属材で形成された缶と、

ニッケルまたはニッケル合金で形成されて前記PTC素子と保護回路または外部端子とを電気的に連結する第2リードと、を備えることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池。 - 前記缶は、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金で形成されたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記缶の内部圧力が高まる時、内部ガスを放出させる安全ベントは、前記缶の上端部に提供されたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のリチウム二次電池。
