Claims (16)
- 2つの電極及びセパレータを含む電極組立体と,前記電極組立体と電解質とを収容する缶と,前記缶の開口部を覆うキャッププレートを含むキャップ組立体と,を備えるベアセルと;
板面の一部に前記キャッププレートと平行するように水平に電気端子が形成された保護回路基板と,
安全装置として前記キャッププレートと前記保護回路基板との間に設けられる電流遮断装置と;
を備え,
前記電流遮断装置は,水平に設けられた上部電極と,熱に感応して電流を遮断する胴部と,水平に設けられた下部電極とを備え,
前記下部電極は,前記キャッププレートに直接接続され,
前記上部電極と前記キャップ組立体の電極端子は,前記保護回路基板に水平に形成された電気端子と電気的に接続されたことを特徴とする,二次電池。 - 前記電流遮断装置は,バイメタルスイッチ方式のブレーカ,又はPTC(Positive Thermal Coefficient)装置であることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極端子は,前記キャッププレートの長手方向中央から一側方に偏って配置されたことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極端子は,前記キャッププレート中央を中心にして,前記電流遮断装置と対称的な位置に配置されたことを特徴とする,請求項3に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記保護回路基板側電極,又は前記電極端子の少なくとも上端部は,ニッケル含有金属から形成されたこと,又は前記電極端子とは別のニッケル含有金属プレートが設けられたことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記キャッププレート側電極は,熱伝導度が良い金属からなることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記熱伝導度が良い金属は,アルミニウムであることを特徴とする,請求項6に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記キャッププレート側電極の周辺は,前記電流遮断装置の他の部分に比べて少なくとも一部が延長し,溶接のためのターミナルを構成することを特徴とする,請求項1または6に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記保護回路基板側電極は,前記キャッププレート側電極に比べて厚く形成されたことを特徴とする,請求項1または5に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記保護回路基板側電極は,前記電流遮断装置の胴部に比べて側方にさらに延長されたこと,及び/又は,
前記電極端子の上端部は,前記電極端子の他部分に比べて側方に突出し,横断面がより広いことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記ベアセルと前記保護回路基板との間には,熱可塑性樹脂が充填され成形されたことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記保護回路基板の前記電気端子と前記上部電極又は前記キャップ組立体の電極端子とは,面接触した状態をなすことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記保護回路基板の前記電気端子と前記上部電極又は前記キャップ組立体の電極端子とは,前記面接触した状態に加えて,少なくとも一部で溶接されたことを特徴とする,請求項12に記載の二次電池。
- 前記保護回路基板の前記電気端子と前記上部電極又は前記キャップ組立体の電極端子とは,前記面接触した状態に加えて,導電性接着剤で結合されたことを特徴とする,請求項12に記載の二次電池。
- 前記保護回路基板の前記電気端子は,前記保護回路基板の上下面の両方で全て露出するように形成されたことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記保護回路基板の前記電気端子は,前記保護回路基板を上から見て,前記キャッププレート形成領域内に位置するように形成されたことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の二次電池。
