Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.塗布液(V1)を移動ウエブ(58)に塗布する装置(50)であって、 前記移動ウエブ上に前記塗布液を押出すための少なくとも1つの送りスロット (62A)を有するスライド表面を備え、前記スライド表面からダイエッジ(7 0)で一線を画した前面(104)をさらに備えたスライド塗布ダイと、 塗布ビード(122)が前記移動ウエブとダイエッジとの間のギャップ(12 5)に形成されるように前記スライド塗布ダイを過ぎて第1方向に前記移動ウエ ブを導くためのガイド手段と、 前記スライド塗布ダイの前記前面の少なくとも一部分に洗浄液を第1流量で吹 き付けるためのスプレーシステムと、を具備した装置。 2.前記塗布ビードが、前記移動ウエブの第1方向と略垂直をなす前記スライ ド塗布ダイ上の実質的線形静的湿潤ライン(124)を含む、請求の範囲第1項 に記載の装置。 3.前記洗浄液が前記塗布液の溶剤を含む、請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 4.前記スプレーシステムが、前記移動ウエブの幅方向に平行に配置された前 記ダイエッジ下の複数の洗浄液噴射手段を含む、請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置 。 5.前記第1流量が洗浄液の噴霧スプレーまたは連続的な流れを含む、請求の 範囲第1項に記載の装置。 6.前記スプレーシステムが、前記第1流量よりも小さい第2流量で前記洗浄 液を吹き付ける手段を含む、請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 7.前記洗浄液が前記移動ウエブと接触しない、請求の範囲第1項または6項 のいずれかに記載の装置。 8.前記塗布ビードの下および前記スライド塗布ダイの前面と前記移動ウエブ との間に減圧状態を生成するための真空システムをさらに含む、請求の範囲第1 項に記載の装置。 9.塗布液(V1)を移動ウエブ(58)に塗布する装置であって、 前記移動ウエブ上に前記塗布液を供給するための少なくとも1つの送りスロ ット(62A)を有し、前記少なくとも1つの送りスロットからダイエッジ(7 0)で一線を画した前面(104)をさらに有する塗布ダイと、 塗布ビード(122)が前記移動ウエブとダイエッジとの間のギャップ(12 5)に形成されるように前記塗布ダイを過ぎて第1方向に前記移動ウエブを導く ためのガイド手段(60)と、 前記塗布ビードの下および前記前面と前記移動ウエブとの間に減圧状態を生成 するための真空システム(80)と、 前記塗布ビードが前記塗布ダイの前面に実質的に線形の静的湿潤ライン(12 4)を形成できるように前記スライド塗布ダイの前面の少なくとも一部に洗浄液 を吹き付けるための複数の洗浄液噴射手段(102)を有するスプレーシステム と、を具備した装置。 10.前記静的湿潤ラインが前記移動ウエブの第1方向と略垂直をなす、請求 の範囲第9項に記載の装置。 11.前記塗布ダイが押出またはスロットダイを含む、請求の範囲第9項また は10項のいずれかに記載の装置。 12.前記塗布ダイがフロー塗布ダイ(150)またはスライド塗布ダイを含 む、請求の範囲第9項または10項に記載の装置。 13.塗布液(V1)を移動ウエブ(58)に塗布するために使用される塗布 アッセンブリ内の塗布ダイを洗浄するためのスプレーシステムであって、前記塗 布ダイが、前記移動ウエブ上に前記塗布液を塗布するための少なくとも1つの送 りスロット(62a)と、前記少なくとも1つの送りスロットからダイエッジで 一線を画した前面とを有し、塗布ビード(122)が前記移動ウエブとダイエッ ジとの間のギャップ(125)に形成されるように前記塗布アッセンブリが前記 塗布ダイを過ぎて第1方向に前記移動ウエブを導くガイドシステム(60)を有 し、実質的に線形静的湿潤ライン(124)を有する前記塗布ビードが前記塗布 ダイの前面に形成されるように前記塗布ダイの前面の少なくとも一部に洗浄液を 吹き付けるための複数の洗浄液噴射手段(102)を具備する、スプレーシステ ム。 14.移動ウエブ(58)に塗布液(V1)を塗布する方法であって、 少なくとも1つの送りスロット(62a)からダイエッジ(70)で一線を画 した前面(104)を備えた塗布ダイの前記少なくとも1つの送りスロット(62 a)を介して前記塗布液を押し出すステップと、 塗布ビード(122)が移動ウエブと前記第エッジとの間のギャップ(125) に形成されるように前記移動ウエブと塗布ダイとを位置決めするステップと、 前記塗布ダイの前面の少なくとも一部に第1流量で洗浄液を吹き付けるステッ プと、 略線形静的湿潤ライン(124)を有する塗布ビードが前記前面上に形成され るように第2流量で洗浄液を吹き付けるステップと、を具備する方法。 15.前記第2流量がゼロの流量を含む、請求の範囲第14項に記載の方法。 16.前記第2流量が実質的に前記第1流量と同じ流量を含む、請求の範囲第 14項に記載の方法。 17.前記第2流量が前記第1流量未満である、請求の範囲第14項に記載の 方法。 18.前記移動ウエブ上に前記塗布液を塗布するステップをさらに含む、請求 の範囲第14項に記載の方法。 19.前記塗布ビードの下および前記前面と移動ウエブとの間に減圧状態を生 成するステップをさらに含む、請求の範囲第14項に記載の方法。 20.洗浄液を吹き付ける前記ステップは、前記塗布ビードの少なくとも一部 が前記スライド塗布ダイの前面に形成されるように前記第エッジ下の前記前面の 一部に前記洗浄液を吹き付けるステップを具備する、請求の範囲第14項に記載 の方法。 21.少なくとも1つのスリットロールを作るために前記被覆ウエブを細長く 切断するステップをさらに含む、請求の範囲第18項に記載の方法。 22.前記少なくとも1つのスリットロールを感光性を持った結像媒体の複数 枚葉紙に変換するステップをさらに含む、請求の範囲第21項に記載の方法。 23.前記少なくとも1つのスリットロールをデータ記憶媒体の複数枚葉紙に 変換するステップをさらに含む、請求の範囲第21項に記載の方法。
