Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.CDMAセルラ・システムに使用するフォワード・リンク送信システムに おいて、 狭いローブ・アンテナ送信システムに結合した第1送信モード装置と、 放送アンテナ・システムに結合した第2送信モード装置と、 送信モード・フォーマット信号に応答して前記第1送信モード装置と前記第2 送信モード装置の内の一方へデータを選択的に結合する送信モード制御器装置と 、を含むCDMAセルラ・システムに使用するフォワード・リンク送信システム 。 2.請求の範囲第1項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前記 送信モード・フォーマット信号は移動局から受信されるフォワード・リンク送信 システム。 3.請求の範囲第1項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前記 第1送信モード装置は変調器に結合した差分エンコーダを含むフォワード・リン ク送信システム。 4.請求の範囲第3項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前記 変調器はQPSK変調器を含むフォワード・リンク送信システム。 5.請求の範囲第1項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前記 第1送信モード装置は複数個の所定のパイロット記号の内の少なくとも1個をデ ータ・ビット流に挿入するため時間多重化装置を含むフォワード・リンク送信シ ステム。 6.請求の範囲第5項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前記 複数個の所定のパイロット記号の内の少なくとも1個は前記データ・ビット流の 各n番目の変調データ記号と置き換えられるフォワード・リンク送信システム。 7.請求の範囲第1項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前記 データはトラヒック・チャネル・データを含むフォワード・リンク送信システム 。 8.請求の範囲第2項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、第1 の前記送信モード・フォーマット信号は、前記移動局は前記狭いローブ・アンテ ナ送信システムから送信された前記データを受信する機能を備えていることを指 示するフォワード・リンク送信システム。 9.請求の範囲第2項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前記 送信モード・フォーマット信号の不在は、前記移動局は前記狭いローブ・アンテ ナ送信システムから送信された前記データを受信する機能を備えていないことを 指示するフォワード・リンク送信システム。 10.請求の範囲第1項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前 記狭いローブ・アンテナ・システムは適合アンテナ・アレイを含むフォワード・ リンク送信システム。 11.請求の範囲第1項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前 記狭いローブ・アンテナ・システムは分布アンテナ・システムの少なくとも1個 の送信要素を含むフォワード・リンク送信システム。 12.請求の範囲第10項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、 前記適合アンテナ・アレイから送信されたエネルギは前記移動局へのトラヒック ・チャネルに使用されるローブを定義するフォワード・リンク送信システム。 13.請求の範囲第11項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、 前記少なくとも1個の送信要素から送信されたエネルギは前記移動局へのトラヒ ック・チャネルに使用されるローブを定義するフォワード・リンク送信システム 。 14.請求の範囲第3項記載のフォワード・リンク送信システムにおいて、前 記移動局は、前記狭いローブ・アンテナ・システムから送信された受信信号を検 出するための差分コヒーレント検出器を含むフォワード・リンク送信システム。 15.CDMAセルラ・システムに使用するフォワード・リンク送信方法にお いて、 第1送信モード装置を狭いローブ・アンテナ送信システムに結合する段階と、 第2送信モード装置を放送アンテナ・システムに結合する段階と、 送信モード・フォーマット信号に応答して前記第1送信モード装置と前記第2 送信モード装置の内の一方にデータを選択的に結合する段階と、 を含むCDMAセルラ・システムに使用するフォワード・リンク送信方法。 16.請求の範囲第15項記載の方法において、さらに、 前記データのビット流の所定記号位置にパイロット記号を挿入する段階と、 前記データの前記ビット流を変調する段階と、 前記狭いローブ・アンテナ送信システムから前記変調データの前記ビット流を送 信する段階と、 を含む方法。 17.請求の範囲第15項記載の方法において、前記第1送信モード装置は変 調器に結合した差分エンコーダを含む方法。 18.請求の範囲第15項記載の方法において、さらに、 2つの送信モードの内の所定のものを使用して移動局と通信するネットワーク ・エンティティと、 前記移動局から前記ネットワーク・エンティティに前記送信モード・フォーマ ット信号を送信する段階であって、前記送信モード・フォーマット信号は前記移 動局の通信能力を指示する前記送信段階と、 前記ネットワーク・エンティティは前記移動局へデータを送信するため前記2 つの送信モードのうちの一方を選択する段階であって、前記選択は前記送信モー ド・フォーマット信号の内容又は不在と前記ネットワークの通信能力とに依存し 、 前記2つの通信モードの内の前記選択した一方を使用するよう前記移動局に命 令する段階と、 を含む方法。 19.請求の範囲第18項記載の方法において、前記命令段階の命令は前記2 つの通信モードの内の前記所定の一方を用いて前記ネットワークから送信される 方法。
