Abstract
確実に圧着してシールすること。 【解決手段】 包装体10のシール装置30において、
プラスチックシート11、12の被シール層11A、1
2Aをシール巾より狭いシールバー41、42で挟圧
し、該被シール層を加熱状態で加圧する線シール装置3
1と、プラスチックシート11、12の被シール層11
A、12Aをシール巾でシールするのに必要な巾のシー
ルバー51、52で挟圧し、該被シール層を融解状態で
圧着する面シール装置32とを有してなるもの。
Description
シート、積層プラスチックシート等のプラスチックシー
トからなり、詰替え用等に用いられるスタンディングパ
ウチ、ピロー包装、ブリスター包装、チューブ等の包装
体のシール装置に関する。
相対するプラスチックシートの被シール層(シーラント
層)を互いに重ね合せ、外側からヒートシールバー等の
シールバー(金型)で挟圧し、該被シール層を融解状態
で圧着することにてシールしている。
の被シール層をプラスチックシートのシール巾でシール
するのに必要な巾のシールバーで挟圧し、該被シール層
を融解状態で圧着する面シール装置を有して構成される
場合、及び該面シール装置と、面シール装置に後続し、
プラスチックシートの面シール装置が圧着した被シール
層を冷却シールバーで挟圧し、被シール層の圧着状態を
冷却固化する冷却シール装置とを有して構成される場合
がある。
には以下の問題点がある。 面シール装置や冷却シール装置において、シールバー
によってプラスチックシートの被シール層の全域を安定
的に高い圧力で挟圧することに困難がある。圧力の弱い
部分では、プラスチックの絡み付きを十分に生成でき
ず、シール不良を生ずる虞がある。全域を高い圧力にす
ると被シール層が変形して必要な厚さを保持できない。
(包装体の充填内容物)やその高粘度物が付着している
場合、被シール層の間にそれらの液体を介在させたまま
シールするものとなり、シール不良を生ずる虞がある。

るようにしたものである。

填シール機20であり、袋供給部21、袋印字部22、
袋開口部23、予備部24、充填部25、予備部26、
第1シール部27、第2シール部28、冷却部(及び袋
排出部)29を備えている。

供給部21に供給され、充填部25で上部開口から内容
物を充填された後、本発明のシール装置30を構成する
第1シール部27、第2シール部28、冷却部29で上
部開口の被シール層11A、12Aを互いに重ね合せ、
圧着されてシールされる。プラスチックシート11、1
2としては、例えば、ポリエチレンテレフタレート等の
外層、外層に接着したアルミ箔等のガスバリアー層、ガ
スバリアー層に接着した熱融着性を備えるポリエチレン
等からなる被シール層11A、12Aからなるものを用
いることができる。
シール装置31、第2シール部28に面シール装置3
2、冷却部29に冷却シール装置33を備えて構成され
る。尚、充填シール機20は、第1シール部27、第2
シール部28、冷却部29のそれぞれに、各2基の線シ
ール装置31、面シール装置32、冷却シール装置33
を備え、生産性の向上を図っている。

ールバー41、42を備え、シールバー41及び/又は
42に狹巾加圧部41A及び/又は42A(巾P)(P
はシール巾の90%以下であり、シール巾が2.5mm超で
は好ましくはP=0.1〜2mm、更に好ましくは0.7〜1.2
mmであり、シール巾が2.5mm以下では好ましくは0.1
〜1.5mm、更に好ましくは0.7〜1.2mm)を備える。
尚、本実施形態の線シール装置31は、シールバー4
1、42をヒーター内蔵のヒートシールバーとし、シー
ルバー41、42自体によりプラスチックシート11、
12を加熱可能としている。即ち、線シール装置31
は、プラスチックシート11、12の被シール層11
A、12Aを、狭巾加圧部41Aにより規定されるシー
ル巾より狭いシールバー41、42で挟圧し、被シール
層11A、12Aを加熱状態で加圧する。42Aでも同
様である。
く、プラスチックシート11、12を挟みこむ一対のシ
ールバー51、52を備え、シールバー51及び/又は
52にシール巾でシールするのに必要な巾の広巾加圧部
51A及び/又は52A(巾Q)を備える。尚、本実施
形態の面シール装置32は、シールバー51、52をヒ
ータ内蔵のヒートシールバーとし、シールバー51、5
2自体によりプラスチックシート11、12を加熱可能
としている。即ち、面シール装置32は、線シール装置
31に後続し、プラスチックシート11、12の線シー
ル31が加圧した部分を含む被シール層11A、12A
を、広巾加圧部51Aにより規制されるシール巾でシー
ルするのに必要な巾のシールバー51、52で挟圧し、
被シール層11A、12Aを融解状態で圧着する。52
Aでも同様である。
如く、プラスチックシート11、12を挟み込む一対の
冷却シールバー61、62を備え、冷却シールバー6
1、62に冷却水循環路等を内蔵し、シールバー61、
62自体によりプラスチックシート11、12を冷却可
能としている。即ち、冷却シール装置33は、面シール
装置32に後続し、プラスチックシート11、12の面
シール装置32が圧着した部分を含む被シール層11
A、12Aを、冷却シールバー61、62で挟圧し、被
シール層11A、12Aを圧着状態で冷却固化する。

A、12Aに対する、線シール装置31のシールバー4
1、42(狭巾加圧部41A)の挟圧位置、面シール装
置32のシールバー51、52(広巾加圧部51A)の
挟圧位置、冷却シール装置33の冷却シールバー61、
62の挟圧位置を、互いに重なるように配置している。
これにより、面シール装置32はプラスチックシート1
1、12の線シール装置31が加圧した部分を含む被シ
ール層11A、12Aを挟圧し、冷却シール装置33は
プラスチックシート11、12の面シール装置32が圧
着した部分を含む被シール層11A、12Aを挟圧する
ものとなる。
ル装置31、面シール装置32、冷却シール装置33の
それぞれにおいて、シールバー41、42、シールバー
51、52、冷却シールバー61、62のそれぞれが被
シール層11A、12Aの全域を均一に加圧する必要が
ある。圧力の弱い部分では、シールに必要な熱量、圧力
が十分に加えられず、シール不良となる可能性がある。
シールバー41等の加圧状態の調整は、例えば図4に示
す如く、シールバー41等が取付けられる取付台43に
おいて、加圧部41Aの周辺複数位置に介装したシム4
4の厚み調整によりなされる。
実を図るためには、プラスチックシート11、12の被
シール層11A、12Aのシール面温度がそのプラスチ
ックの補外融解終了温度以上であることが必要である。
即ち、線シール装置31による加圧最終段階でのシール
面温度、面シール装置32による圧着最終段階でのシー
ル面温度、特に冷却シール装置33による圧着直前のシ
ール面温度が補外融解終了温度以上になっていることが
重要である。補外融解終了温度以下では、被シール層1
1A、12Aを構成するプラスチックの低分子量側は融
解しているが、高分子量側は融解せずに不安定なシール
となる可能性がある。
JIS K7121(プラスチックの転移温度測定方
法)により測定できる。ここで、被シール層11A、1
2Aの転移温度を測定し、その際の補外融解終了温度を
融解ピーク温度、補外融解開始温度とともに示せば図5
(A)の通りである。補外融解終了温度は、図5(A)
に例示するような、ピーク曲線の融解ピーク温度以上に
おいてほぼ直線である部分を近似した直線の外挿部分
と、ベースラインとの交点の温度である。被シール層1
1A、12Aのシール面温度は、例えば図5(B)に示
す如く、被シール層11A、12Aのシート面に例えば
0.1mm直径の熱電対70を取付け、被シール層11
A、12Aを前述の如くに加熱圧着し、この過程で生じ
た微小電圧を温度に変換することにて求めることができ
る。
は以下の如くなされる(図6)。 (1)第1シール 第1シール部27の線シール装置31において、プラス
チックシート11、12の被シール層11A、12Aを
シール巾の狭いシールバー41、42で挟圧し、被シー
ル層11A、12Aを補外融解終了温度以上にまで加熱
し、加圧する(例えばP=1mm)。この第1シール工
程では、被シール層11A、12Aの付着液等をシール
面より排除し、水分を蒸発させるとともに、被シール層
を融解させ、加圧部の周辺を予熱する。

52(例えばQ=6mm)で挟圧し、被シール層11
A、12Aの全体を再度補外融解終了温度以上に融解圧
着する。

態にある被シール層11A、12Aを冷却シールバー6
1、62で挟圧し、被シール層11A、12Aを圧着状
態で冷却固化する。
41、42でプラスチックシート11、12の被シール
層11A、12Aを挟圧することにより、被シール層1
1A、12Aの全域を高い圧力で安定的に挟圧でき、プ
ラスチックの絡み付きを十分に生成できる。
いシールバー41、42により、被シール層11A、1
2Aにたとえ液体やその高粘度物が付着していたとして
も、それらの介在物を加熱蒸発させたり高圧力で絞り出
して排除でき、後続の面シール装置32のシール性を向
上できる。
いシールバー41、42がヒートシールバーであると
き、シールバー41、42の作業面の全域における温度
のばらつきを小とする安定した温度状態で、被シール層
11A、12Aの加圧部を均一に加熱するとともに、そ
の周辺部分を余熱し、後続の面シール装置32によるシ
ール性を向上できる。

層11A、12Aのより広い部分を融解状態で確実に圧
着できる。

で、被シール層11A、12Aを完全にシールできる

- 【請求項1】 相対するプラスチックシートの被シール
層を互いに重ね合せ、外側からシールバーで加圧し、該
被シール層を融解状態で一定のシール巾にて圧着するこ
とにてシールする包装体のシール装置であって、 プラスチックシートの被シール層をシール巾より狭いシ
ールバーで加圧し、該被シール層を加熱状態で加圧する
線シール装置と、 線シール装置に後続し、プラスチックシートの線シール
装置が加圧した部分を含む被シール層をシール巾でシー
ルするのに必要な巾のシールバーで加圧し、該被シール
層を融解状態で圧着する面シール装置とを有してなる包
装体のシール装置。 - 【請求項2】 相対するプラスチックシートの被シール
層を互いに重ね合せ、外側からシールバーで加圧し、該
被シール層を融解状態で圧着することにてシールする包
装体のシール装置であって、 プラスチックシートの被シール層をシール巾より狭いシ
ールバーで加圧し、該被シール層を加熱状態で加圧する
線シール装置と、 線シール装置に後続し、プラスチックシートの線シール
装置が加圧した部分を含む被シール層をシール巾でシー
ルするのに必要な巾のシールバーで加圧し、該被シール
層を融解状態で圧着する面シール装置と、 面シール装置に後続し、プラスチックシートの面シール
装置が圧着した部分を含む被シール層を冷却シールバー
で加圧し、該被シール層を圧着状態で冷却固化する冷却
シール装置とを有してなる包装体のシール装置。 - 【請求項3】 前記プラスチックシートの被シール層の
前記面シール装置による圧着時の融解温度を、該被シー
ル層を構成するプラスチックの補外融解終了温度以上に
してなる請求項1又は2記載の包装体のシール装置。 - 【請求項4】 前記プラスチックシートの被シール層の
前記冷却シール装置による圧着直前の融解温度を、該被
シール層を構成するプラスチックの補外融解終了温度以
上にしてなる請求項2記載の包装体のシール装置。
