Abstract
Un recipiente principale ha uno scomparto inferiore in cui viene bruciato il combustibile e uno scomparto superiore in cui avviene la separazione del materiale particellare. La separazione viene effettuata combinando cicloni di sgrossatura per separare il materiale particellare più grande con moduli di filtri porosi a flusso trasversale per separare il materiale particellare residuo più piccolo che fuoriesce dai cicloni. I filtri a flusso trasversale sono impilati a grappoli sovrapposti con tubazioni separate per il gas trattato con configurazione a T per i grappoli superiore e centrale, e cruciforme per il grappolo inferiore, il grappolo centrale essendo ruotato di circa 120° attorno al suo asse verticale rispetto al grappolo superiore per lasciare uno spazio libero per le rispettive tubazioni.
