Abstract

Μέθοδος κατάψυξης τυποποιημένης μονάδας δότου ερυθρών αιμοσφαιρίων, που να μπορεί να αποθηκευθεί επί μακρές περιόδους και στη συνέχεια να ανακτηθεί υπό μορφή αρκούντως καθαρή, για σκοπούς μετάγγισης, περιλαμβάνει φυγοκέντρηση μονάδας αίματος για την απομάκρυνση του πλάσματος και των αιμοπεταλίων, και παροχή 'Ογκου Συσσωρευμένων Κυττάρων (Packed Cell Volume) των ερυθρών αιμοσφαιρίων, όχι λιγότερο του 90%, προσθήκη των ερυθρών αιμοσφαιρίων σε σάκκο κατάψυξης (13), ο οποίος περιέχει διάλυμα HES (Υδροξυαιθυλοαμύλου, Hydroxyethyl starch-HES) τέτοιο ώστε η αναλογία HES/ερυθρά αιμοσφαίρια να μην είναι μεγαλύτερη από 7% (κατά προτίμηση 6%) βάρος/όγκο, τοποθέτηση του σάκκου κατάψυξης (13) σε κλωβό (20,21) προσαρμοσμένο έτσι ώστε να διατηρεί σταθερό το πάχος του περιεχομένου του σάκκου, και τοποθέτηση του κλωβού (20,21) χωρίς ανατάραξη, μέσα σε υγρό άζωτο. ω
