Abstract

993,464. Rotary water meters. PRESNA MECHANIKA, NARODNI PODNIK. June 13, 1962 [June 13, 1961], No. 22790/62. Heading F1F. A multiple-inflow impeller type water meter as described in Specification 857,436 wherein the bottom part 16 of the distributing chamber is integral with a cylindrical jacket 1a forming part of a three-part casing 1 in which the meter is housed. The casing besides the cylindrical jacket 1a includes a head 3 and a branch connecting body 2 formed with a partition wall 12 dividing the body into an inlet space 13 and an outflow space 14. The casing parts are sealingly connected together by means of joint rings 10, 11 and bolts 4. An annular space 15 between the cylindrical jacket and the distributing chamber which is connected by parts (not shown) to the inside of the distributing chamber permits the pressures inside and outside the distributing chamber to be balanced. The casing may be made of plastics material.
