[Class 64 (ii)] [Also in Group XX] A flexible metal bellows or other expansible chamber employed in temperature regulating or indicating apparatus is charged with two liquids which do not mix, whereby the operating vapour pressure is equal to the sum of the vapour pressures of the liquids. The rate of change of vapour pressure with temperature may, by selecting suitable liquids, be greater than could be obtained with a single liquid. Mixtures of water with benzene, heptane, or ethyl propionate are specified.
