A gas meter of the double diaphragm 5, 6 kind has an outer casing 1 enclosing a meter body comprising two outer plastic moulded diaphragm units 2, 3 of similar construction and a central plastic moulded unit 7 provided with ports 9, 10, 11 for a gas valve 12 and similar ports for a gas valve 13 and bearings for flag rods 16, 17, the diaphragms 5, 6 being secured at their edges between the inner and outer units.
