Abstract

802,665. Gas meters. GAS COUNCIL. Feb. 1, 1955, [Feb. 2, 1954], No. 3017/55. Divided out of 802,664. Drawings to Specification. Class 54. In a dry gas meter with single-acting diaphragms, each diaphragm has a stiffened central portion and a flexible annular portion which is guided by curved annular members situated at its inner and outer edges respectively, the members being disposed on that side of the flexible annular portion which is not exposed to the gas at inlet pressure and being such that in the mid-way position of the diaphragm the flexible annular portion is in the form of a trough with its sides curving outwardly away from each other and resting against the curved annular members. The meter is similar to that described in Specification 802,664.
