An indicator for flow and non-flow conditions in a fluid conduit 5-6 comprise a helically disposed length of resilient material 4 which is secured by its outer periphery 2 in the conduit lying in a plane across the direction of flow so as to be displaced out of this plane by the flow. The helix is of synthetic plastic of a suitable colour to be observed through a transparent portion of the conduit. The helix shown in Fig. 4 differs from that shown in Fig. 2 in that the centre portion 3 is omitted. Multiple helices may be used. The slit may extend into the clamping portion of the disc. Specification 1,011,879 is referred to.
