Abstract

1,218,062. Moulding sealing rings. GRES DES FONTAINETTES. 10 Jan., 1968 [18 Jan., 1967], No. 1488/68. Heading B5A. [Also in Division F2] A sealing ring 5, 7, Fig. 3, of polymerizable material for sealing the joint between pipes 1 and 8 is moulded on to the inside of the pipe 1 using a one-piece of multi-piece mould 3, Fig. 1, centred by a mandrel 4. The gasket may be of polyurethane and the mould of s ilicone rubber. To obtain a good fit between the gasket and the pipe 1 the inner surface of the pipe may be provided with an adhesive coating and/or grooves 6.
