A lamp-holder 12 comprising a base portion 24 whose two pairs of resilient arms 28, 30 grip the lamp bulb, has an extending resilient arm 26 riveted to a closure button 10 whose resilient legs 22 snap-fit into an aperture 58 in the conducting housing 52. The housing 52 is in the form of an open box and has a lens element 54 closing the open side. The lamp bulb is secured in the holder by its bayonet studs 50 engaging notches 42. The holder is entered into the housing by passing it through the aperture 58 and secured by snapping in the closure button. The housing may be waterproofed by the addition of sealing material about the legs 22.
