865,988. Releasable fastenings. THORN ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 15, 1959, No. 31483/59. Class 44. In an electric lamp fitting of the type including a main dished body 10 and a translucent or transparent cover 13 fitted to the body for the purpose of enabling the cover to be releasably fitted to the body, a resilient wire 15 is pivotally mounted at one end on the main body and is adapted to be positioned with its other end in retaining engagement with a projection 19 on the main body and with an intermediate region of the wire resiliently engaging the cover and urging it into engagement with the main body, the intermediate region being deformed to facilitate engagement with the cover. The deformation 21 is of V-shape.
