Abstract

989,066. Bucket hoists. GENERAL DEXALING CO. Ltd. Aug. 2, 1961, No. 28132/61. Heading B8H. A hoist for raising a bucket B from a sewer comprises a wheeled chassis supporting a ramp 11 up which the bucket is hauled by a winch D on to a frame 20 which tips about an axis 31 against the action of springs 23 to discharge the contents of the bucket. The bucket is guided on to the ramp by a pulley P and on to the frame 20 by a pulley 24, the pulleys and ramp being provided with guide ribs 12. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the ramp is provided with an extension which may be pivoted down, when not in use, to lie against the ramp support 3. The chassis is provided with a towbar (not shown), a trailer wheel 10 and adjustable telescopic legs 6. The winch D is driven by an I.C. engine.
