Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:0987796/C2/1> wherein R1 is hydrogen, amino, acylamino or N-alkylacylamino in which the alkyl group may be substituted with -OH or -CO2H, R2 is acyl, R3 is alkyl either substituted with -OH or -CO2H or is unsubstituted (with provisos) and R6 is -CO2H or, when R2 contains -CO2H, H; and salts, e.g. alkali metal, amine and ammonium salts, or esters of the acids. The compounds are made by introducing the group R3 into compound of the above formula in which R3 is H, by means of an appropriate alkylating agent. Examples are given. Specification 963,890 is referred to.ALSO:Radiological compositions comprise acids of formula <FORM:0987796/A5-A6/1> or their salts or esters, together with a physiologically acceptable carrier. In the formula, R1 is hydrogen, amino, acylamino or N-alkylacylamino in which the alkyl group may be substituted with -OH or -CO2H, R2 is acyl, R3 is alkyl either substituted with -OH or -CO2H or is unsubstituted (with provisos) and R6 is -CO2H or, when R2 contains -CO2H, H. Specification 963,890 is referred to.
