Abstract

985,209. Walk type tractors. G. D. MOUNTFIELD Ltd. Oct. 10, 1962 [Oct. 10, 1961], No. 36333/61. Heading B7H. A rotary cultivator is provided with a motor 12 which drives an implement 13 through belt gearing 25 and is slidably mounted so that it can be moved by a lever 28 into and out of a position in which the belt is tightened to drive the implement. As shown the engine 12 is mounted on a pair of brackets 22 which slide on tubes 17. The implement includes the vertical shaft 27 and is provided with a spigot 30 which is engaged in a socket 20 and is secured by a bolt 31 which is also used to secure a bracket 32 which carries ground-engaging wheels 11 and a depth control bar 33.
