Abstract

588,941. Agricultural implements. BARTLETT, A. B. Jan. 26, 1945, No. 2080. [Class 6 (i)] [Also in Group XXXI] A tractor which may be coupled to a farm implement at both ends is provided with controls for driving in either direction with equal facility and with steering mechanism which can be coupled to either pair of wheels or both simultaneously. The tractor is provided with driving seats 9 facing both directions and vertical steering column 16, gear lever and foot controls operable from either seat whereby a plough 20 may be drawn across a field whilst a second plough 21 is maintained in a raised position, after which the first plough is raised and the second one lowered and the tractor driven back. The raising and lowering of the ploughs may be effected by cable from an engineoperated winch. Implements other than ploughs may be used.
