Abstract
665,677. Agricultural implements. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd., BYWATER, J. E., and BELL, R. D. Oct. 25, 1949 [Jan. 24, 1949]. No. 1913/49. Class 6(i). In a tractor-drawn steerable hoe. the steering mechanism 5 and operator's seat 8 together form a unit which is secured by two bolts 7 or pins to a tool frame 1. As shown, the tool frame is adapted to be connected to a tractor hydraulic lifting links and the hoes are adjustable in their supports. The steering mechanism is connected by a link to a fixed reaction point on the tractor. The reaction point may be on the tractor lifting links or alternatively a ground engaging member or steering fin may be used. In a modification a tiller is used in place of a steering wheel.
