[Class 6(i)] [Also in Group XXXII] A coupling between a tractor frame 3 and implement 12 comprises a draw-bar 1, or a V-shaped frame, ball jointed at its forward end to a bracket 2 on the frame 3 and provided at its rear end with a crossbar 5 which may be pivoted at 18 to the draw-bar and adjusted relatively thereto by an adjustable link 19. The implement is connected by pins 13 to the cross-bar 5, which may be of V-shape, and is provided with a vertical triangular post 14 connected by an adjustable link 15 to the draw-bar which can be adjusted to vary the pitch of the implement. Lateral swing of the drawbar can be prevented or limited by adjustable stops 23 on a stirrup 21 pivoted to the tractor axle and resting on top of the draw-bar, a chain around the stirrup and draw-bar preventing separating thereof. The implement can be raised and lowered by a pair of arms 6, one of which is adjustable in length, connected to the ends of the cross-bar 5 and to lifting arms 7 mounted on a cross-shaft 8 arranged in accordance with the invention described in Specification 609,340. the cross-shaft being rocked when power is applied to the lifting mechanism to cause the crossbar 5 to be raised together with the toolbar or implement frame. The latter may carry ridging bodies or cultivating tines and comprises a pair of angle bars 10, 11 spaced apart and braced together. The tools 12 are clamped to the angle bars but certain types of implement may be attached direct to the cross-bar 5.
