702,344. Agricultural implements. VIFOT, S. O. May 22, 1951 [May 27, 1950], No. 11972/51. Class 6 (1) A tractor mounted cultivator provided with groundwheels 4, a frame 1 carrying tools 8 and connected with two draught bars 10 of a lifting means mounted on the tractor is characterized in that a threaded thrust rod 27 is mounted on a fulcrum on the tractor and is screwed into a nut 22 freely mounted on the frame to allow the frame to be adjusted in a vertical plane about an axis passing through the centre of the wheels to vary the working depth of the tools. The rod 27 is connected to the tractor by a universal joint 29 and the machine may be steered by means of a rod 14 which moves the wheels 4, the draught bars 10 allowing a limited lateral swinging of the machine. A seat 12 is provided and the machine is lifted clear of the ground by the hydraulic lifting means when turning at the end of plant rows. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 676,152.
