653,745. Agricultural implements. FERGUSON, Inc., H. Feb. 6, 1948, No. 3512. Convention date, May 13, 1942. [Class 6(i)] An implement such as a harrow is attached to a tractor through the stirrup member 53 secured to the rear ends of the longitudinal members 55 carrying a cross shaft 51, which in turn carries return bars 49 pivotally attached at 49a to the links 37. In addition the frame 48 is connected to the centre of the harrow by means of a link 64 adjustable in length. Should the implement meet an obstruction the link 47 rotates the bell-crank lever 42 against the action of spring 43 to admit fluid under pressure to the cylinder 27 thereby rotating the lever 33 and lifting links 36 to raise the harrow. In another embodiment the forward end of the sub-frame 56 may be adjustable laterally of the tractor. Specification 653,746 is referred to.
