549,780. Couplings. BROWN TRACTORS. Ltd., D., MERRITT, H. E., and HULL, C. H. Aug. 14, 1941. No. 10336. [Class 103 (v)] [Also in Group I] A plough or other implement is connected to a tractor by two links a universally jointed to the tractor and supporting crank arms b<SP>1</SP> on the ends of a cross shaft b journalled to the implement frame and the cross shaft and one of the links are connected by an adjustable link e through universal joints. Relative lateral displacement of the implement and tractor partially rotates the cross shaft to bring the implement into line. The link e is made in two sliding part which are moved by a hand lever i to vary the length of the link thus adjusting the width of the furrow. Specification 320,084, [Class 103 (v)], is referred to.
