Abstract

352,851. Implements for working land. FAIRWEATHER, H. G. C., 65, Chancery Lane, London.- (Aktiebolaget Ífverums Bruk ; Íverum, Sweden.) Oct. 21, 1930, No. 31638. [Class 6 (i).] In a motor or tractor plough in which the plough body is carried by a beam pivoted to the plough frame, two interconnected links are pivoted to the beam and frame, respectively, at points nearly in register with each other in the working position, one of the links being acted upon by a spring which tends to maintain the plough body in working position and to restore it to that position after it has been moved out of it. The beam 2 is carried by a bearing member 3 pivoted at the point 4 on the frame 5. The two links 6, 7 may be pivotally connected to one another at their upper ends, the lower ends being pivoted at points 9, 10 to the frame 5 and member 3, respectively. A spring 11 is connected to the link 6 and to a bracket 12. The point of connection with the link 6 may be adjustable. If the plough body strikes an obstruction it turns about the pivot 4 and passes over the obstruction. It may be reset by backing the plough until the spring can restore the links to the position shown.
